The Diner and Bar are two of the latest examples of Monroe County bleeding money. Watching that project be stagnant for an entire month every single day was boarderline comical- then it seems like over night they were done. The diner does look absolutely fantastic- and a full service breakfast option at the airport is extremely welcome. The bar, however, looks pretty horrible. The floor section doesnt come off looking finished, the entire area is open with not a lot of clarity as to what exactly it is (as far as the restaurant area of it.) The bar itself though I must say is beautiful, but it is lacking still the “sports” aspect other than a few hung jerseys.
The highlight of the entire remodel is definitely the video game area. From 4am until 8pm every single day that area is packed, it almost would have made more sense for it to be larger and in the center of the concourse rather than sectioned off in the B gates.

Also, what's the Swift Air 734 at A9 about? Arrived over 14 hours ago, per FlightAware, if that's the plane.

Definitely nice to add Nashville to Buffalo direct flights starting in October ....... but on Saturdays only is kind of weird. How successful can that flight really be or how much of a chance are they giving it?
Atleast the times are okay.

WN did the same thing with DEN service. It could be they’re putting their toe in the pond to test the waters. They have a very proactive route planning team. If the 1x weekly proves successful frequency could increase.
DCA-ROCguy wrote:Best wishes to BUF with the WN Nashville flight. I see the Frontier 2x weekly BUF-RDU starts in May. Hoping that does well, too. Both BUF and ROC had Midway Airlines 3x daily to the airline's RDU hub on CRJ's back in 2001. The RDU area has grown since that time, and I would think a 2x weekly ULCC flight should easily stimulate enough traffic to fill a couple of A320's on O&D without a hub.
If Monroe County isn't pushing Frontier hard to enter ROC, they should be. If they can be in both SYR and ALB, with little population in between, that suggests--doesn't prove, but does suggest--that they can be in BUF, ROC, and SYR.

This was discussed earlier in the thread, but what wasn’t discussed is that now it appears that it will only last until the beginning of June .

No one is forcing you to patronize a chick-fil-a. The building will still be there regardless if there is a chick-fil-a. The public funding builds the building and the leased space is remodeled with Delaware North’s money to turn it into a chick-fil-a. People need to stop being offended by everything. The real problem I've had with Chick Fil A (not having one in upstate until last year) was that I would fly to DEN and back regularly, and always on Sunday. So no Chick Fil A for me.

I was under the impression that it wasnt up for discussion anymore and rather be done soon from reading other sources. How realistic do you guys think an Air Canada Express link to Toronto or Montréal are? It'd be great for connections to Europe (which are somewhat limited now with the detours via DTW, PHL or IAD or in my case even CLT due to the downsizing of PHL) and with pre-clearance the one guy CBP shouldnt be an issue.
Also, with the upcoming expansion, is there a realistic chance of seeing JFK or EWR come back (not too optiistic about EWR with the shift down to IAD happening so recently)

Yeah for an airport with like 5 places to eat, this space should go to something local and better; and not generic (albeit good) fastfood that isn't open one of the busiest travel days of the week.
