LN 149, HZ-MF7 Saudi Ministry of Finance has been delivered. Route: AFW-SNN & then onto RUH or DMM (?). This particular bird has been in VIP conversion since February 2014 (!). The second 787, LN 193 HZ-MF8 seems to be still in the conversion process.

The aircraft can be seen on this shot while passing through SNN:

Why it needed to stop in SNN, I thought it is capable to fly all the way to RUH nonstop ..

They are all still there. There is just a filter currently set on the '787 Current Production' tab to only show Everett built aircraft which is what you may be seeing.

Hello everybody, is there an exact date or week when will KLM receive their first 787-10? I know it will be in June or July, right?

Thanks Miguel787. I'm asking this because I might go on vacation to the Netherlands in July this year so I hope I can catch their 787-10. They will most likely only have 1 787-10 by mid July(?)

The registration N12006 has been assigned to cn 60140. Possibly ZC041/LN 814?

This also means its yet another registration that N548ZC will not be wearing. Next registration reserved by UA for the 78X is N91007 that has not been assigned yet, which could be quite likely considering N16008 has been assigned to cn 60138, similarly N16009 has been assigned to cn 40938.

This is the initial 787-10 schedule for KLM. (Subject to change of course)

Amsterdam – Dubai eff 03JUL19 3 weekly (5 weekly from 01OCT19)
Amsterdam – Kilimanjaro – Dar es Salaam – Amsterdam eff 01JUL19 4 weekly
Amsterdam – Toronto eff 29SEP19 5 weekly

To catch it in July you will need to go to DXB or JRO/DAR. By the looks of the schedule doable on one frame and the second frame needed by 29 Sep 19.

Actually that's B-208C. B-206C is a CZ 737-800.

So many identical looking airlines coming out of China, a true nightmare for spotting.

I would say indentical registration numbers. Suparna and CZ (China Southern) look nothing alike.

But the reason many airlines wear this particular livery is because they all belong to the HNA group.

You can see the list of airlines grouped under the HNA umbrella here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HNA_Group#HNA_Aviation

The order was placed on the 16 October last year, their first delivery will likely be in Feb 2020. It has often been said a 787 can normally be delivered within 18 months of being ordered.

Ahh, I thought their first 787 is already in FAL, silly me. Still, delivery after just 18 months after order is pretty darn good for a product with 5-6 years of backlog.

During development, Boeing advised the recommended colors for the engine cowlings/nacelles was either white or grey to minimize drag and increase performance.

Several of the early 787 operators like NH, UA, NZ, JQ and AI chose all white nacelles even when other aircraft in their fleets have painted nacelles.

As the 787 line had matured, later operators have chosen to paint the nacelles in their standard liveries. AA, BA, VS, VN spring to mind as carriers who have painted their 787 nacelles in standard livery.

Question is.. are the latter carriers seeing appreciable performance hits relative to carriers that have left them white?

Cards on the table, I made a stand alone thread about this but it was moved to the tech ops thread and was ultimately unanswered.

It appears to be a thickness of coating issue, as the nacelle is already a near white material so the white and gray cover better to keep the thickness down. The 787 has laminar flow on the nacelle which requires very smooth surfaces. Multiple colors have an edge bump at the color change, a detriment to the laminar flow. It is likely that the coatings used on the nacelles have broadened the palette since first introduction.

On my boat I have a super slick bottom paint, it has only been out a few years, I am sure something like this is used on the nacelles. It is so slick that I have to use my trailer winch to launch the boat, it slides so easy I can't get the winch line unhooked, it is like I have rollers instead of bunks. Initially it was available in only a few colors, now there are a lot of colors.

That air tahiti 87's livery reminds a bit of the thomsonfly livery. Very nice and wavy, it flatters
the round forms of the dreamliner.

Nah, that’s N804AN returning from some work being done in PAE. N814AA appears to have taken its place.

Premium Economy installed at PAE. New aircraft always go to DFW first, not ORD. AAL does not have any new 788's scheduled for delivery this year(2019)
