Sorry I mixed up the A350 family total ( -1 ) with the A359 total ( -11 ). I agree no change.

I certainly hope so, especially for some widebody orders.
However most orders from Paris will probably not appear in the books for some months.

Adam Pilarski's latest opinion piece on Aviation Week states the current Aviation Order Bubble is about to burst.

If he is correct, PAS might not be a mega-order show.

Yes, either that, or NB demand is strong, but 737, A320, A220 and E2 are not all equally popular globally at this stage and that becomes clear in sobering numbers. W’ll have to wait.

British Airways have converted 3 x A320neo to 3 x A321neo. There are still 35 on order but the split is now 22 A320 and 13 A321 rather than the previous 25 A320 and 10 A321.

Edit: This has been reflected in the latest May spreadsheet from Airbus.

Boeing booked no new orders in May.

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/#/orders-deliveries

There were cancellations.

Boeing Capital: -71 737 MAX (Jet Airways)

2019 ASC 606 Changes for the 737 went from -196 to -131. That's a reduction of 65, so it's not a 1 on 1 reduction to the new cancellation.

Air Niugini: -1 787-8

2019 ASC 606 Changes for the 787 went from -10 to -9

Net orders total new: -125

This is 6 down from -119 last month, this is within the 2019 ASC 606 Changes.

So 65 of the 71 cancellations are from Jet and the remaining are from some other airline?

I believe six of those frames had already been assembled and were subsequently transferred to Boeing (perhaps Boeing Capital Corporation). The balance were un-built frames for Jet.

MAX’d out on MAX threads. If you are starting a thread, and it’s about the MAX - stop. There’s already a thread that covers it.

No, the 71 is the full cancellation of the remaining Boeing Capital order, this is on top of the 4 that were already cancelled in April (and again reordered in the same month by an unidentified customer). All 75 of the original Boeing Capital order were for Jet Airways and are now completely gone, fully cancelled.

This leaves the 125 737 MAX order listed directly as Jet Aiways, which are not fully cancelled yet. But they are included in the current listed -131 2019 ASC 606 Changes. With the new update we have seen another 6 orders added to the 2019 ASC 606 Changes. These are from another airline and are still listed on the order book and will only be fully cancelled on a later date. When that happens they will also be deducted from the ASC 606 Changes. Because this order for 6 is still listed on the order book we don't know who the customer is that will not take delivery of these 6 orders. It's not as obvious as the 200 that there initially deducted as ASC 606 Changes after the Jet Airways collapse.

Boeing also booked cancellations for 3 737 MAX, these were booked as full cancellations, not as 2019 ASC 606 Changes

Current 2019 Net Orders = -119 (6 up from last month)

edit: Air Lease Corporation ALC cancelled the 3 737 MAX

ANA: 18x A320neo
Delta: 5x A220-300
Atlantic Airways: 2x A320neo
Qantas: 10x A321neo
Saudia: 30x A320neo
Undisclosed: 23x A320neo
Undisclosed: 13x A321neo
American Airlines: 20x A321neo
Air Lingus: 6x A321neo
Iberia: 8x A321neo
Jetblue: 10x A220neo

So not all orders that were announced as firm in Paris turn out to be firm, but it's not as bad as it was last year in Farnborough.

Airbus did not book any cancellations, this means their net total for 2019 is now 88, so they went positive at Paris.

A320neo: -229
A321neo: +359
(total for a320 family: 130 new orders)

According to the figures above, with 57 new orders for the A321neo and 73 for the A320neo, this means that there would have been 302 conversions from the A320neo to the A321neo in June (253 for AirAsia alone)

Total A320NEO orders 3914
Total A321NEO orders 2686
A321NEO now 41% of all orders

Total A320NEO backlog 3238
Total A321NEO backlog 2493
A321NEO now 43% of backlog

That 50/50 split is getting closer …...

With a total backlog of 5 871 (5 766 NEO and 105CEO) I'm pretty sure A320NEO (specifically) orders are now being hampered by availability
At the 2018 delivery rate of 625 that represents 9 1/2 years of production.

For reference, the 737 backlog of 4 415 (NG and MAX) at 2018 delivery rate of 580 represents 7 1/2 years of production

Thanks for the astuteman.
9 1/2 years of production must be a major challange for both Airbus and the Airlines. I think it also explains why Boeing doesn't suffer more from the MAX grounding.

Imagine if you want an XLR and you need to wait almost a decade to get it. How can airlines plan for that?
Airbus just has to rise the NEO production as much as possible. I assume that planned production increases are already merged into delivery schedules
IMO any airline who wants to delay deliveries of NEO's must be a blessing for Airbus.

The conversions are not shown on the monthly numbers. You can find the full back logs of every airbus model in the spreadsheet you can download on the orders and deliveries page on the Airbus website.

So this is the big news that Trump was announcing yesterday?
He made it sound like some huge new order, while in fact they went there only to sign an already agreed deal.

That's the way it usually goes when politicians announce orders. It's not worth discussing in this thread. Just go to the dedicated thread on the announcement and order for any further talk on this subject.

Yes, I believe so. These are the two planes that will be going to Fiji Airways in November and December.

There are several (ie more than 2) A350s ntu by Hong Kong Airlines. We will see more cancellations from them as the agreements for the final customers are firmed up. I’m not sure if SAA’s will be transferred to another company or if HNA is just leasing to them directly (in which case there might not be a cancellation, some HNA airline just won’t operate it).

Not a new order, but Citilink will be taking two WW ntu A330-900 for launching long haul low cost service. Not sure if these two will reduce Garuda Indonesia's order for 14 A330-900neo.

Accordingly to Flight Global it is, https://www.flightglobal.com/news/artic ... it-459394/

Where do you get that these will be WW ntu? The Flight article specifically says that they are coming from the existing Garuda order and even lists six (Garuda) MSNs.

that article is from early July, here is another more recent link from another post indicating the ex WW birds

While Garuda has 14 A330-900neos on order the two A330-900neos earmarked for Citilink were originally manufactured for WOW air and therefore have been configured with Wow’s onboard design.

Very nice WB haul.. Amazing that the 773 continues to trickle in orders despite much more efficient alternatives being available or around the corner. BA must be offering great deals that 25% more fuel efficiency can't make up.
