Eurowings EW 2930 returned to STR on 01/05/2019

Sun Jan 06, 2019 11:06 am

Yesterday Eurowings flight EW 2930 from STR to ACE had to return to Stuttgart after 30 minutes flight time.

Does anybody know the reason for this?

When looking into flightaware, I found 3 more flights from Stuttgart which have not reached their final destinations and returned to STR within the last week. All carried out by Eurowings or subsidaries:
01/01/2019: 4U2054 STR --> HAJ (https://de.flightaware.com/live/flight/GWI2054/history/20190101/1834Z/EDDS/EDDS)
02/01/2019: LGW2820 STR --> MXP (https://de.flightaware.com/live/flight/LGW2820/history/20190102/0540Z/EDDS/LIMC)
02/01/2019: CSA2000 STR --> TXL (https://de.flightaware.com/live/flight/CSA2000/history/20190102/1025Z/EDDS/EDDS)

Is this a normal rate of aborted flights or just bad luck?

Well, when I see the blue line (altitude) on the flight data chart below, it leads me to think it may have been a cabin pressure problem.

The 3 you listed above must be unrelated, at least the HAJ one. This was due to the airport closure after somebody drove airside
All the things you probably hate about travelling are warm reminders that I'm home

It climbed to F350 and on the return leg dropped to F340. It was not pressurisation problems.

As far as I remember, this incident was on December 29th. The aborted flight was 3 days later, so most likely not linked to the closure of HAJ.
