That never ends badly.

You're on the wrong side of history. It's not too late to switch sides.

The article says one of the strongest possibilities is the Nordwind plane will transport gold bars to an unknown destination. So the gang of Maduro is trying to steal all the things they can before the collapse of the dictatorship. Meanwhile, kids and adults continue the routine of garbage inspection to find a piece of rotten food to eat in Caracas and other cities of Venezuela. It is clear that the reconstruction of the country will take years after this gangsters get out of power.

I have not "seen" it leave on FR24, but that doesn't mean anything. Pretty sure that whomever is orchestrating this does not a plane with $840M in gold to be tracked.

What is this plane? N787BK?

Maybe military? Very confusing FR24 info.

https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n787bk

And this old twitter thread shows it's been all over, from Pennsylvania to Israel to Cyprus

https://twitter.com/civmilair/status/74 ... 53?lang=en

According to this old tweet it's a King Air

https://twitter.com/avischarf/status/803177713536266249

While other sources say it's an Embraer 110 or a Dassault Alpha Jet.

Apparently the registration also used to be worn by a 787 that was delivered to JAL. Just speculation but I wonder if the DoD picked up the registration when it became available and use it as a kind of placeholder for some NATO operations regardless of what plane is actually being used.

So Maduro is sending the country's gold to Russia. I'm sure they'll look after it very well. He might be preparing for his own departure to the same destination, depending how things develop.

We are getting into NonAv territory but Maduro has been gathering the countries gold up for several years now from conservatorship sites in the EU and shipping it to Venezuela.
Where it all is at this point is anyone's guess but the UK blocked a major transfer of gold from their conservatorship here in the last couple of weeks.

Maduro must be more trusting of Putin than most if Maduro seeks asylum in Russia.
Putin would be saying what gold and who is the Maduro which you speak.

Okie

So well that Venezuela may never see it back. Russia has invested billions in Venezuela over the last decade and they are not just about to lose it all. That 777 may have well been operating for Vladimir's Collection Agency!

Russia offered to provide him personal security and he accepted - perhaps the bill was a bit more than expected.

This. That was no safekeeping flight.

Meanwhile President Trump has asked all Americans to refrain from traveling to Venezuela:

Does anyone know if this has been followed up with an official travel warning from the State Department?
