How so?

London is where JetBlue’s corporate clients want to go, not Canada. Mint has been extremely successful on transcons against legacies reasonable to think they can replicate that success across the Atlantic ( notice I don’t call it “the pond”, that’s silly).

Canada is not only expensive there is no premium to be earned, point of sale is Canada and your competition to Florida will be Rouge, Swoop and Air Transat. Good luck with that.

Will it be LHR or is that still only a rumor/wish?

That would make sense. More sense than them purchasing any kind of share of TC.

It would also make this announcement more timely since they currently don't have the AC to fly across the Atlantic and won't for some time. Unless they want to drag out the hype for a very long time before the launch.

Temp lease of Thomas Cook aircraft makes no sense - no continent of product... The whole point of Jetblue going T/A is to take the battle to premium travel... i.e Mint.

Blue over the pond will be a disaster. The current management has no idea, nor no experience in matters like this. A day doesnt go by that they have no less than 10% of their network suffering from delays, and thats on a good day. I can see current CEO, COO and company getting the boot after long.

The US has banned wet lease for European flights so they can’t use TC Aircraft.

While the suggestion has been made to restrict, no action is being taken until August 2019 in order to get more time to discuss any potential changes.

The mighty CMA (UK Competion and Markets Authority) has a history of forcing certain alpha top dogs to surrender slots. At a time, even the now bankrupt VLM had to transfer London City LCY slots to competitors for free because the CMA ruled that consumers would benifit.

I know that LHR is slot controlled, but maybe B6 somehow has come over some slots to use for their BOS/JFK flights. Some here talk about LHR, so I wonder if they know something that the rest of us don’t.

They no doubt want LHR, but probably don’t have slots lined up yet (since it is 18 months away), hence they are not specifying an airport.

Really emphasising on the Mint product, maybe, as someone suggested earlier, it'll be an entirely Mint config.

And the conference closes out with a queen tribute, thought this was a JetBlue conference not Saturday night in Benidorm.

Mint is their biggest trump card, that is why they are focusing on it so much. JetBlue’s Y product is good, but not really special vs the competition TATL.

I can see a half mint / half economy config, B6 carries a lot of leisure travelers, they don't want to totally alienate that demographic, plus they did use an image of a standard economy seat in their official twitter post.
