What the hell are Nautical Miles?
What the hell are Statute Miles?
Is it a difference from the regular mile? Sorry, dumb question..

That is not a dumb question. A nautical mile is one minute of lat. (it might be long. I always get those confused). It is equal to about 1.15 of a statue mile, which is a regular mile.

It is one minute of longitude but only at the equator, since the lines of longitude converge towards the poles. Effectively it's also one minute of lattitude but due to the slightly flattened shape of the earth, I have a feeling it MIGHT be defined as one minute of longtude at the equator - don't quote me on that though!
