I thought the obvious culprit was storing the front landing gear in the engine's pocket.

Pilot did a go around and requested runway lights turned on..... hmm.
“the actual ‘landing,’ if you want to call it that, completely missed the runway. The first impact was hard and violent.”
"The plane literally is nowhere near the actual runway,” he said, adding that snowplows had to remove snow so that emergency responders could get to the plane to help the injured passengers.

For real though, how the hell did that gear end up THERE

I'd tread more carefully with the puns if I were y'all.

Why are you upset with the puns? Commutair has run a terribly unreliable operation for years. They are not the cream of the crop and this reinforces that stigma.

Or, maybe he just said "treat [...] carefully" as a tire has treads??? So, "tired", "wheely", "tread"; all related to the thingy that ended up by the engine.

I am a United fan, obviously, but BOTH Commutair and United have their names on this accident, period.

I read on another site that there were three injured, one crew, two passengers, all described as 'minor'.
