This is coming from a UA elite who doesn't much care for the current livery either, but this is a step backwards. The Dreamliner livery is much, much better.

Hopefully in daylight and perhaps on other plane types it will look more appropriate. Or best case, this picture is a fake.

Yes! Why not make the Dreamliner/Max livery fleet-wide? Why come up with this?

It's very average, much like UA's current livery. I can't decide if I like it better or worse yet, the font is awkward with the windows jutting in, and the tail is awkward too. I do like the engines and the cheatline.

Meh.

Is anyone else stoked that the tail numbers are finally back up top instead of down below? Finally no more awkward gate angles to get tail numbers! Looks like the tail is paying homage in a good way to the old carriers. A bit of CO and a bit of UA in that tail with the Rising Blue. Anyone know if belly titles are present?

I am surprised no one else has picked up on that, the tail reminds me of RISING BLUE...

And yes I am stoked about the tail numbers being back on top!

Well the black line could have used the blue and purple colors as suggested earlier in the concepts but otherwise the Global is an improvement over the current boring one.

It's almost certainly the dark blue in UA's pallette and not black.

A black wavy line... strange. Everything would look better if it were light blue or went from light blue in the front to dark blue in the back. Overall not bad, but not very impressive either. There were better mock-ups in this thread over the past few weeks IMO.

Are the winglets blue to match the engine, or purple? I hope they are blue, but I can't tell from the video. It will grow on me. I hated American's new livery when it came out, but I'm okay with it now. White engines would have been my preference.

Same thing happened with blue rising scheme, a 777 picture was leaked before the formal announcement. Maybe it's United that leaked it..

Looks like the upper half of the winglets are Rhapsody Blue (like the wave is) the bottom portion is United Blue.

The tail is Sky Blue and United Blue along with a few hints of Rhapsody Blue in the shading.

I haven't seen any purple yet...

It's OK-ish. Kinda looks like a white and blue version of Delsey/VG Airlines, but much less glamorous.

I think they really did a nice job on the tail especially with that gradient, the image of the close up tail at the end of the video is fire. There is also a point that is a direct side view of the whole plane and it really helped bring it all together for me, so overall I really like it. Also, I think the line and gray on the bottom is much improved from the 737 max, as it doesn't go as far up. On the max livery the line went all the way up to just under the windows, and this is much sleeker. The only addition I would make is putting the same gradient from the tail onto the winglets, because those winglets with the gradient would be amazing!

Really unimpressing livery by UA. Sure, it might grow on me, but for the moment, it looks pretty boring.

Airbus A320, not Airbus 320.

I like it. To me the blue colors they used are more in line with the blue tulip blues. Truthfully i feel like minus the globe this is what the pre-merger United would have looked like today. It is more of a safe rebrand versus some trainwreck overhaul like we've seen with other airlines. Remember the 4 renderings that were released within the last month or so. Those were all Euro white.

It's one of the few new paint schemes that have come out in the last few years that I've liked at first look. WN and AA have eventually grown on me, but I like it. Enough color without being too much, not too drastic of a change that you lose the brand already in place, but enough to change it.

This may be the first positive thing I've ever said about UA. Good job on their part.

Seems to mimic the updated OS livery as well as the new LH tails. Reminds me a bit of Ted also, except with a globe instead of a tulip and UA spelled out instead of just TED.

Oscar was right when he said evolution instead of revolution. I don't see how this injects life into a boring brand, but as others have speculated ahead of the release it does go into the same direction as other recent two tone rebranding, e.g. Polaris.

I would have to agree. I particularly wish the swooping/wavy grey had been replaced with some color to liven up the livery more. With the gold gone and only the blue remaining, it feels lacking.

Well in all honesty it's not bad, for UA keeping the globe that is. Definitely looks more fresh over the older design of the globe. Overall you can put me in the "it's not bad and will grow on me" camp.

I have the same sentiment as you. Decent but not incredible. Just glad that they didn’t go the Eurowhite route. This livery may not look as good on a 319\320. Time will tell.

Works for me and I, too, am happy they didn't go Eurowhite.
