CAAC granting lots of flight rights

Tue Mar 12, 2019 2:44 pm

According to CAAC, a large amount of flight right for pax&cargo, cargo and their extensions are granted.

Notable mentions:
1. Large amount of flights to Japan particularly KIX and other Japanese cities due to constraint for TYO; considerable amount of flights to other close countries are also seen.
2. Major long haul clearances granted include HGH-FCO, CGO-LHR, CAN-MXP, etc.
3. Large amount of Russian flights, many of which are far eastern ones; IKT has also become a major popular spot; there are also multiple 1 weekly flights applied by carriers like Nordwind;
4. African airlines applying. We see Rwandair applying CAN (via existing BOM, currently in 738), and SAA joining the party.

P.S.There are at least 2 errors in the form:
1). Country for CGO-LHR written as Japan;
2). Aerologic (“German European Continent Airlines”) can’t apply flights to CAN in a passenger&cargo manner, for they have no passenger planes.

It's "美国博立航空", or Polar Air Cargo.

Tons of KIX flights. I don't think it's just constraint at TYO, though, but rather the large tourism market to/from Kansai area.

CZ have officially announced CGO-LHR route, and then they said they have reached codeshare agreement on BA specificaly on the LHR-LUX route for the flight, they hope that the agreement can nurture the market so that they will be able to launch a CGO-LUX passenger flight route in the future when the market become mature.

I'm surprised WNZ/Wenzhou and YIW/Yiwu don't get any love from international airlines, especially African and Arab carriers. Is it because they're easily accessible via high-speed rail?

No mistakes that I saw. Thanks for the translation.
But well, that dose of subsidies really build up. We even see CAI and ATH coming. I mean, how hard is it for them to build 2-3 daily hub destinations first before they start insanely spreading the wires?
I am indeed very surprised to see Indian expansion. The current China-India market is indeed very imbalanced, and with Jet Airways collapsing, I see less pressure on Indigo to start new China routes. Indeed flattering and interesting.

For Yiwu, it's tightly connected with Shanghai or Hangzhou via high speed train (around 2 hours). For Wenzhou, it's a bit far away from Shanghai/Hangzhou (3-5 hrs by train). But actually a lot of immigrants of wenzhou now live in Hangzhou or Shanghai, especially for rich families.
