Virgin used purple/pink for a reason.

Does anyone else out there have more images of the cabin. I've already seen the images taken during delivery maintenance. Also, thoughts? Personally, I love the addition of the mood lighting, as it gives life to a rather dull cabin.
SonomaFlyer wrote:Amazing how much folks complain about lighting on an airplane. Perhaps you all should buy your own and go back to incandescent bulbs? People want cheap, cheap and more cheap. The seats and pitch are a direct result of Americans being cheap. Stop complaining or better yet, fly with airlines that have more room and/or better service.

This is the party mode setting. AA's 787 has a party mode setting that looks exactly like this.
It doesn't mean you'll see it being used by the flight attendants when you fly.

No...AA didn’t cheap out on the lavs the way Delta did. Full-size lavs on the AA NEO....not Delta’s lavatory-in-the-galley setup. I’ll now leave you to your seedy mile-high
fantasies.

They may do already, but the uniforms cover them

Yes, but disappointingly it's only the 60 year old male pursers!![]()
Back on topic: It is truly shocking to me that AA would invest in a whole fleet of brand new A321neos and NOT invest in their customer experience by including seatback IFE. I was looking forward to flying one of these, but now not so much. Over time, I am having a really hard time finding any reasons at all to go out of my way to fly AA.
B1168 wrote:nc3rd wrote:No IFE, but no IFE box taking up the leg room. I like the back of the seat tray to hold a tablet and the plug beside it. It works for me.
Agreed, but when the plug is dead, you are doomed to end up dead boring.
Also, being unable to see the plane’s route and its parameters during takeoff/landing is somewhat dissatisfying.

2. I had a very similar lighting scheme on DL several years ago. Didn't complain about it then, wouldn't complain about it now.
3. Got to agree: "If Delta had done this everyone would be cheering that it was so innovative."
4. Yes, I prefer AVOD over personal device.
Not happy with the OASIS updates. Doug needs to listen to his front line employees (FA's), to get the pulse of what's really going on inside the airplane and how people are hating the new seats.
Edits for clarity.

Its been hashed out many times, but AA didnt add IFe for many reasons. The main reason is, theyre expensive and maintenance nightmares. Others: Take up leg room. Go Obsolete quickly. With tablets and smart devices becoming almost universal across the traveling public, they wanted to invest in highspeed Wifi and counting on passengers to prefer using their own devises anyways.

And, for about the millionth time, none of those things are true anymore. Delta's new in-seat IFE comes without the obnoxious underseat boxes and the units are essentially thin tablets that need minimal wiring and can be easily replaced.
AA's other actions with regard to the MAX (not to mention half-assed retrofits of the 767 and 757) show they are only interested in being as cheap as possible, hence the lack of inseat IFE.

Why do you associate American Airlines, and the colors of the US flag, with screaming rednecks?
Are all national carriers that use their national flag's colors tacky? Or just when US carriers do it? Last I checked, Delta uses US flag colors too. Are they tacky? Are they associated with screaming rednecks?
