Qatar are moving the B777L currently on the DOH to IAH route to DOH to JFK, the A350-1000 currently on the DOH to JFK route will be transferred to DOH to IAH.
For the forseable future the change is permanent.

Yes you are correct JFK will see the B773ER, my obvious mistake.

Well IAH gets a mix of 777lr and 777w. Nice been waiting for a aircraft change, IAH finally got the Qsuite as well on the 777, before the flight had the old product of 2-2-2 in J.
I know QR has their own cargo flight as well to IAH, though PAX 777lr use to carry a bit of cargo as well, I seen them load a Lamborghini in the belly of the LR. Can the A350- 1000 take the same amount of cargo? Will their be any restrictions? I know with the 777w during the summer, EK and QR, has to block some seats, though with LR they can go full capacity.

Their Cargo does well, QR came in IAH at the right during 2009 when IAH saw spike of growth of international airlines first came SQ, EK, QR, then afterwards LH 747 --> A380, TK, CA, NH, KE, BR, SK, NZ also Volaris, Viva Aerobus, & Interjet.
Their Business class does very well out of IAH, economy does well during the high season a lot Africa, Middle East, South Asia, and South East Asia travelers.
A lot of Energy pax on this route going to DOH, KWI, PER, KUL, SIN, and etc, plus Middle Eastern Royal people.

I think AA ended all it ties with AA, only thing you can do is earn miles.
When QR started IAH, they use to get feed from UA and AA. Then UA ended their, ties so the only feed left from IAH was AA and Westjet, Yes Westjet, used to feed pax to QR through IAH. Now AA has ended.

Probably regional and/or replacement standby for longer routes. Their 77L are approaching D checks so they may be testing the A35K capabilities for replacing 77L long routes. QR have a lot of aircrafts now, especially considering the blockade - so it makes sense they will use the newer planes on the longer routes. I wonder what they will do with 35 more A35Ks coming in.
