PANYNJ studying to take over ACY

Found this interesting.. PANYNJ was in ACY several years ago to do air development and it didn't go well (remember UA).. I wonder why the sudden interest in the airport

So they arguably did worse without PANYNJ. You could lay that solely on NK’s strategy evolution, but I don’t think it’s clear either way is better.

UA never should have added ORD and IAH, IAD was clearly the better choice. IAD would have easily allowed for more connections to leisure destinations. This is why DL and ATL could also work.

DL did ATL out of ACY and it didn't do well, but part of the issue was they overpriced it compared to PHL.. people are going to drive the 45 miles to PHL to save a couple hundred bucks... FL actually had a lot better success there with ATL (and to a lesser extent MCO) until WN bought them and pulled out.
