Will Boeing build the NMA ?

Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:31 am

As time goes by it seems like the odds of this aircraft receiving a program launch
are diminishing

The 321LR is doing quite well and a further
enhanced performance version may be next

I’m not so sure anymore the market for an
aircraft in this size and range capability is that big

Maybe a few hundred but I don’t see thousands of airframes going out the door

It’s a huge risk for Boeing, you just can’t make a widebody twin with narrowbody economics either

They’d do better by offering a downrated, lower gross weight (and cheaper) 787-8
with a 5000 mile range
The best contribution to safety is a competent Pilot.

Guns and the love of them by a loud minority are a malignant and deadly cancer inflicted on American society

C'mon man! Hasn't this topic been beaten to death yet? Nothing said in the OP is remotely novel.

I am not a mod, and hate playing one on TV, but jeez.
