National Airlines (N8) introduces A330?

Hello everybody,

I was at Skyliner-aviation, which normally is a reliable source, and saw this:

https://www.skyliner-aviation.de/regdb. ... av4&page=2

There is an A330, which is due to be delivered to National Airlines. As they currently only operate one passenger 757 along 4 747BCF, does everybody know, if it will be converted or will they keep as it is?
Will they get more than just one?

At least flightradar reports an A332 flight EIEWH between LDE and MLA today.

Seems like they will be great freight carriers.....

Fedex and UPS has made good use of the wide-body capabilities of the Airbus, past and present. Good catch.

It will be used for military pax charters.

Skyline now states that they will acquire 2 A330.

I think the other one will be MSN 927, like 891 ex Arik Air and owned by Pembroke.

Oh yeah, I forgot about these guys. I saw their 757 parked in KEF twice on my last trip.

Those frames sat in storage for more than 2 years after W3 was taken over by Nigeria's state-owned "bad bank". I'm surprised that Standard Chartered couldn't find a lessee sooner. Was being powered by PW engines what hurt their value?

That looks awesome. It is really cool to see a charter operator get a new type especially an A330 which don't exist outside of American, Delta, and Hawaiian.

A beautiful livery for this A330. The silver and blue combination vaguely remind me of the small Aigle Azur A330 fleet.
Odd to see the A330 being used for charter operations in the US. Defunct carrier Ryan International also had some.

Would be wonderful to see some passenger 747-400s in NATIONAL colors!

Looks like National wants a slice of the AMC pax money. Not a bad plan. Hopefully they can develop a secondary customer for the airplane as well.

Wow! I've always liked the National livery, but it looks absolutely outstanding on the A330! I wish them well and hope to see more in the sky.

National (N8) Airlines Globally.

Truth to be told, both previous owner Kingfisher and Arik Air are both well known for not complying to the maintenance standards... I think National will be surprised by the low reliability of these aircrafts. Good luck!

BTW. we discussed this beforehand - but I can't find the post. But I did find something on the internet:

"Lessors Say Kingfisher Jets Stripped of Key Parts
MUMBAI—Aircraft leasing firms that succeeded in repossessing a handful of the nearly four dozen planes still with grounded Kingfisher Airlines Ltd. in India have found themselves facing a nasty surprise: that most of their planes are stripped of key parts.
