Excellent news. Looking forward to see it. On the photo, the A321LR was still flying as D-AZAJ despite the visible canadian registration below wing.

I’m torn. Good to see new airplanes but also this will result in the last passenger A310s going away. The A310s are 30 years old and a tight 9 abreast but they are unique.

Exactely. Would be great to see the A310 in the new livery.
I wonder when people will understand:
Embraer 190 or simply E190, not ERJ-190. E-Jets are NOT ERJs!
Boeing 747-8, not Boeing 747-800. Same goes for 787.
Airbus A320, not Airbus 320.
Airbii does not exist.

I was in the A310 a few times, last time in March with Air Transat. Unfortunately on 6+ hours flight, infotainment was notably absent, compared to their A330. As a passenger, looking for that upgrade.

The seat map is already on the Air Transat website. Looks like a very nice layout. The good news is, Air Transat have opted for the full size galley at the rear, with 1 toilet ahead of the rear doors, 2 mid-cabin, and 1 at the front.

Takeoffs are optional; landings are mandatory.

Exactly how I feel. From an economic standpoint, the A321s make much more sense, but as an aviation enthusiast, I'm sad to see the A310 go.

Side note, those A321s look much better with the larger engines.

It’s the opposite to me :) I love the “skinny” engines on the old 321s. That’s why the 340 also is my favorite plane, just from the outward appearance.

Smart move by Air Transat to have two lavatories in the middle of the Y cabin and only one in the back - it spreads out the lav que and the FAs can have a bit more privacy during meal breaks and not having to squeeze past 20 people just to get out of the galley when answering call bells. I think this aircraft will be a big hit with pax and crew.
Come, fly the prevailing winds with me

The A310s are a terrible customer experience. So bad, in fact, that I've heard them basically turn customers off of the brand entirely (I live in Montreal, so there are plenty of potential customers), and Air Transat can no longer afford that type of experience. Rose-coloured glasses aside, they need to be gone yesterday.

So excited to see what the A321LR does for North America! Air Transat will definitely be operating this equipment on routes it is intended for.
