Quite a few airlines ordered the A320neo family frames with both engines.

IndiGo ordered 430 with P&W GTF and now 300 with CFM LEAP.

That is not correct.
Just the 1st 150 are P&W GTF.
Indigo ordered 280 CFMs this summer.

The 1st CFM seems to be MSN 9385

That's interesting, the wings for that MSN are ready for FAL.

Congrats Indigo/Airbus, pretty sure deliveries may go till the late 2020s. I hope Indian airports keep up with the infrastructure to sustain them, that probably is the only thing holding their 25% annual growth plans (let's hope the current economic slowdown should end in a year or two)

That's going to be one of the biggest problems for all Indian airlines, many of the airports in India are pretty full and no much work is going on, some of them don't even have space, other problem will be some bilateral agreements that currently are restricting grow in big markets like UAE and China, but I think they are working on it.
Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Trivandrum really need a new airports and in some cases the space is limited or there's no space for expansion.

I think the only airports that are really preparing for big market expansion in India are Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Remember there are currently 18 new airports being developed across India https://www.makaan.com/iq/news-views/upcoming-airports-impact-real-estate Many of these will supplement demand in key cities where the major airport is already approaching capacity.

India's IndiGo Airlines eyes Tbilisi as next European route

https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news ... pean-route

Indigo originally planned to operate to London Gatwick via Tbilisi. Are they gonna operate the route without flying onward to London? That would be wierd as how much of a market could there be between India and Georgia alone?

India in recent years has grown to become a significant source of inbound tourism. Georgia offers visa on arrival for Indians

Does this make indiago the biggest Airbus single aisle buyer ahead of Air Asia?

Amazing if they taking all deliveries - they could even set new hubs overseas too. And show to the Air India how's to expand!!

Georgia has a very relaxed visa policy. As such, it makes an attractive tourism market for India.

A good time to revisit this 14 year old thread from Paris Air Show of 2005 when IndiGo placed its first order of 100 aircraft. You've got to marvel at Anet's collective wisdom.

Another good/nasty thread to visit is of the Indigo's 250 A320 Neo order 4 years back: viewtopic.php?t=593889

Not publically no, more of a spotter reference. Depending on when the components go to FAL, they usually show up a few months later fully assembled.

I was reading in the Airbus declaration from the 29th of October, that engines on the 300 frame order are actually not decided upon with the choice done later.

https://www.airbus.com/newsroom/press-r ... craft.html

I know that there was a twitter declaration about a decision for CFM LEAP, but when I wanted to check up on that again the twitter message seems to be gone.
perhaps there was a confusion regarding the earlier orders, where the earlier frames have GTF and the later frames LEAP.

So I assume that engine choice has only been done for the older orders compromising 430 frames and engine choice for the current order is not yet done.

Nice find on the engine selection happening later.

I am not sure, but it's very popular nowadays, even in winter for ski, apparently is quite nice and much cheaper than going Europe.

Maybe they are still in talks to the engine manufacturers about the price, I think they will also change the number of A320 and A321 following the future requirements of the company, what's the shortest notice Airbus needs to decide between A320 and A321??

About 200 short for AirAsia, just A320 family alone.

The numbers breakdown, only factory fresh aircraft order is taking into account both ceo and neo, excluding ATR 72 and A330.
AirAsia: 630
IndiGo: 830

I had the misfortune to be diverted there once on a business trip to Baku. It's not on my list of holiday destinations.

I asked the question 5 months ago and no one answered, whats the fuel burn difference between P&W GTF and CFM?

The table in the following link shows a cruise SFC for the LEAP of 0.51 kg/kgf-hr, vs. 0.52-0.53 for the GTF (MC-21 version). The article predates the EIS of those engines, though.
