Aéroports de Montréal new image

Wed May 08, 2019 7:31 pm

"ADM launches its new brand platform, a key initiative in its plan to develop, position and modernize its two airport locations. Thus, Montréal-Trudeau becomes YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, and Mirabel adopts a new trademark, YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel."

This is now the old logo:

Personally I like it and I think it's good to distinguish both in names and visually the two airports.

I'm going to miss the classic logo on the back of the boarding passes.

Interesting choice of colour for YUL. Red was seldom used in Quebec for a few decades due to Canadian sentiment. Positive change although the ressemblence to YYC is pretty obvious.

There is a resemblance at first if you remember or see YYC's logo. But then the differences become visible the shape of letters, same spacing between their vertical parts. The red is different too.

YUL & YYC

I would have preferred an alteration of colour on the old font..

ADM’s new logos look nice.

This pretty much leaves YOW as the only major Canadian Airport Authority still with their original logo, which personally I think now looks very dated.

Indeed, while I find Montreal and Vancouver's logos probably the best around.
