Based on that report, TS will have four A310s at the peak of winter season, compared to six now. They also expect two more A321LRs and two A330s.

Yesterday, C-GLAT was ferried YYZ-YMX. Unless I'm mistaken, I guess it's now been removed from service. If true, it means they are now down to five.

I did the A310 YYZ-YUL. It's quite an amazing experience. With so little fuel, it really does take off like a rocket.

I'm booked on the GLA-YYZ route for a return trip in March. The booking said the A310 will be operating but I've noticed on Flighradar24 that the A321 Neo has been operating the flight quite frequently over the past few months. Hopefully I'll be in luck to fly on the A310 for the first time since I flew Oasis Airlines in the early 1990s.

Same for me, it's meant to be an A321NEO then an A330, then an A310 on some dates at the end. My original Thu booking became an A330 and so I had to change to a Sat which as of last night was still an A310. Fingers crossed.

They are now down to four A310s in the fleet. C-GTSH was ferried to YMX this past Friday and recorded by this spotter: https://youtu.be/p8K0BYpVQXU

So far, TS is still expected to operate its last commercial flight with an A310 on the YQB-CDG-YQB route, April 26th/27th.

In the case of Transat’s A310 I enjoyed watching them from the outside more than I did being on one for 5 hours!

I wonder how it must have been inside one of their 10-across in Y Tristars back then?

I took a quick run over to GLA today to catch what may be (for me anyway) a last photo of the A310 operationally. I believe it will run to here on a Saturday until end of March, but I may not get another Saturday off. Here's hoping this wasn't my final glimpse ...

Believe it or not... 10 abreast on the Tristar never really felt that bad. Maybe I was just lucky and maybe I am just not very large framed!

Did YVR-AMS on their L1011 back in the summer of 98(?), yeah, it was pretty bad. The non-existent leg room made it worse.

Thanks, I also recall the very first A310 visit to GLA which was when I was 13 years old and it was one of the two British Caledonian examples in April 1984. It would be nice to say I had witnessed the first and last A310 rotations here at my local drome. There could of course be a Canadian Air Force' Polaris visitor but those tend to go to nearby Prestwick.

Ironically whatever A310s they have might stagger on for a bit longer, with oil under $30/barrel, the old bangers that burn loads of gas but have no ownership cost, paid off ten years ago, are the most effective in the current climate. BA’s 747s are the most efficient wide body jets in the fleet right now. A 787 burns a bit less fuel per person but with low fuel prices the difference in $$ isn’t that big of a deal. But the ownership cost per hour of a brand new 787 is enormous. These particular operating conditions favour the old flying heavy metal.

C-GTSW has been WFU and sent to YMX Feb. 7, 2020, and currently the fleet is made of three: C-GPAT, C-GSAT & C-GTSY.

C-GSAT operated TS724/5 to GLA today. Depending on how quickly Air Transat suspend their remaining services, there is a possibility today was last ever A310 visit to GLA.

We'll see if it goes that far. C-GTSY is at YUL since 3/21, C-GPAT is at YUL since 3/23 and C-GSAT landed at YYZ yesterday.

At least we know there will be no special farewell flight for the A310.

GSAT did YYZ-GLA yesterday, replacing the scheduled A330. The "official" last A310 service is supposed to be Saturday as the summer upguage on frequency and type begins but who knows now ?

Well it looks like the Saturday inbound from YYZ to GLA just got cancelled in favour of Transat's repatriation flights. So as that was slated to be the final scheduled A310 movement ever at GLA (and I was there for the first one, British Caledonian in 1984) it now looks like I did catch the final arrival and departure on Thursday after all. The A310 could of course live on a little in the forthcoming months of low passenger demand and low gas prices, but for now it is farewell and adieu to my stubby little friend at my local airfield. (sniff)

C-GTSY has reached the end of its way. Yesterday it was flown YQB-YMX. I wasn't around to see it but here it is seen on the ground at YMX:

https://youtu.be/yUJrdvXt1WA

C-GPAT is currently at YUL while C-GSAT is enroute between FAO and YYZ most probably with a stop at YHZ.

Looks like C-GPAT will ferry YUL-YMX today leaving C-GSAT as the last remaining A310. It is currently operating OPO-YHZ and will continue to YYZ later tonight landing at 16:45L. Tomorrow it will ferry YYZ-YMX as the last Air Transat A310 flight. Scheduled departure is 13:10L from YYZ TS075.

So it means there either won't be a flight to MAN or it will be operated by something else.

It all began with this one, the first of fourteen acquired between 2000 and 2008 [

Flew C-GSAT from LGW to YUL last June...I know most complain about the 3-3-3 config TS had on these birds, but it wasn't that bad from the third row of economy. Seat pitch was decent and the soft products were better than the VS flight I had going over to UK. Glad I got to ride on the 310 before she left...

Not exactly. Mahan Air, Iran Air and Ariana have a few. But, this is the end of passenger hauling A310s in Canada, a story that began in November 1987 with the delivery of the first two A310-304s to Wardair.

November 1987 - January 1990

January 1990 - (not sure when exactly CP ceased flying the A310)

June 1994 - April 1998

April 1997 - January 2001

December 2000 - March 2020

January 2001 - November 2001

I unexpectedly flew C-GSAT back in November, the first and last time I was on an A310. It was a nice stubby aircraft to be on, and was impressed with the interior that TS had on it.
