B6 Bruins Jet

Fri May 10, 2019 6:59 pm

Looks like JetBlue has a new team jet, this one with the Bruins. N632JB, with the new A320 Phase 1 interior for everyone's reference.

So much for "New York's Hometown Airline."....

Well, they have Red Sox and Celtics liveries, this just adds another Boston sport. They also are Boston's largest carrier, so it makes sense. They also have a Puerto Rico livery. And a veteran's livery. And a made up retro livery. And several others. But they still have NYPD, NYFD, NY Jets, Brooklyn Nets, and of course I <3 NY/NY's hometown airline liveries. So I'm not sure I see your point in your last sentence. 5 of their special liveries are New York based, and one is specifically a NY's hometown airline livery.

Amazing how quickly people take internal emails and images and get them on this site. That email went out at what...2:30?

Here’s some info if you feel “special” when you receive an internal email.

Once it is sent out to 20,000 people, it is already public. They just make you feel like you are in on a secret.

The reality is, if there ever really was a secret...you and you’re 20000 fellow employees would be the last to know. You would probably learn about it on CNN after a neighbor told you.

No offense to you...it is just the truth in the corporate world!

Back to the livery...very similar to the US Airways Steelers paint scheme

Ah yes never fails. Always quick to criticize people for quickly posting internal email, albeit of a livery. Yawn. Slow news day for catiii.

Relax pal. I didn't say I felt "special." I was commenting on the speed with which it went from going out in an email to on this site.

Well they better not paint one in a Patriots livery, because that plane would keep having mysterious flat tires if you sports fans know what I mean... :D

Just RSVP'd for Monday's unveiling at Logan Airport. Looks slick! Anyone know if the interior is still the same -- or was it upgraded too?

Underrated comment.

Bear force one ...will leave and fly to RDU as per playoffs. It’s a refurbished 320 phase 1. B6 can’t do a patriots plane ,they have there own anyways.

Wouldn't rule it out, given they're the official airline of the Patriots until 2030 :)

Reminds me of America West with their hometown teams on the 757's: Cardinals, Suns, and Diamondbacks (2 years before they started to play)

FA says it's currently flying BOS to LAS. So it's doing a rev hop before the official unveiling???

That’s for 5/12. Today is 5/11. ;)

I guess if it’s scheduled to re-enter revenue service tomorrow, it should ferry up from BFM sometime today.

Ok there will be no patriots plane. The patriots are the only team in the NFL THAT OWN A PLANE. B6 has a lounge at the stadium. Plane will not happen sorry

How a football team travels and how marketing teams come to deals with airplane liveries are two entirely separate things. I’m not saying there will (or will not) be a B6 Pats livery, but I am saying the fact that the Pats have a 767 is irrelevant to that idea.

Same with the Celtics, who have a team-themed B6 plane, but also charter with DL.

As a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, there is only one acceptable team in the NHL who can rock the black and gold, and it's not those teddy bears from Boston. (And, to be clear, my comment wasn't directed at the OP or anyone who uploaded the file; I just hate all Boston sports teams out of principle.)

Still, since it's not like we're ever going to see that B6 jet around my neck of the woods, it just doesn't matter to me to be honest.

I hate the Bruins, but they were around long before the penguins wore black and yellow. Either way, good looking airplane.
