It's been a looooong wait for TK to take next-gen wide-bodies.
Never be proud. Always be grateful.

March 2020, less than a year from now they will also be getting their first A350 (-900).

What about Eze -Gru , Tokyo, hkg, mnl and taipei, sfo
Do we expect switch to 789/359 or will stick to 77w.
And an other question, what is the plan for freedup 332/333 and 77w

:bouncy: I've been waiting for this for the last 13 years :bouncy:
There is a chance that there might be a slight change in the livery, and "Turkish Airlines" might go to black from blue and slight change on the font. I've already seen it in few places. Couple days ago on my flight from IST-JFK, the boarding pass lettering were white on black, instead of white on red.

And I for the last ten years. In 2009 I had a project in Mus and when spending one evening in Tatvan I was very surprised to see a poster of a TK 787 in a mall, even though they had not yet ordered the 787 at that time. ... and now it’s real!

I think the black font will look better. Blue didn’t really make sense for Turkey, given their national colours etc.

Haha :D Really had to laugh out loud. Turkey can be such a disturbing place both positively and negatively.

On another note, let‘s see if TK adjusts its livery with black letters and different font according to their new corporate identity as it’s rather suspicious that titles have not been painted yet.

Looks painted to me. There's hardly a difference in the final product and what's shown.

Do we know what the inaugural routes for the 787 are? Also, I remember reading somewhere that they planned on replacing the 787 with 77W on the IST-MEX-CUN route, is this still correct?

It is all up there, on the Original Post. First 787 ops starts with IST-AYT. IIRC, Bali is one of the first ones, I will be on one of the first IAD flights, first week of August.

Seems a lot of identified routes before receiving their first copy?
Is the rationale to send the 789 everywhere the 333 is pushed beyond optimal?

Few things:
-Some of those routes are 333 and yes they are at their limits, but some are 332 routes and few are 77W routes... all due to range limitations. 789 is coming to the rescue for long and thin routes.
-Some on the list are for training like AYT and ADB. They will be filler routes in between Long Range rotations.
-And few of those routes are not daily, not even weekly; like JFK. I only saw a single flight when I searched for July/August.
Also, it might seem a lot of routes but TK will have 15 frames by next year this time.
