SF Airlines applies for U.S. service

Tue May 21, 2019 5:34 pm

Chinese cargo operator SF Airlines has applied with DOT to commence service between Hangzhou (HGH) and New York (JFK).

SF says it plans 3x weekly 747-400 freighter service commencing September 2019.

OST-2019-0076

For those not familiar with SF, they currently operate 53 freighters with hubs in Beijing, Hangzhou and Shenzen.
From the desert to the sea, to all of Southern California

Really awesome. Their livery is amazing and look great on their Jumbo!
I wonder when people will understand:
Embraer 190 or simply E190, not ERJ-190. E-Jets are NOT ERJs!
Boeing 747-8, not Boeing 747-800. Same goes for 787.
Airbus A320, not Airbus 320.
Airbii does not exist.

You would think with rising trade tensions and the continued decline of cargo tonnage, not the best time to start service.

Interesting that they chose NYC vs LA or SF, even YVR. Cargo has to fly with someone, maybe they will have an ANC fueling stop for extra capacity. GL to them.
