As long as the safety video does it job to address up to date safety information it is fine. Unfortunately not all airlines can afford or are willing to spend the money to make flashy safety videos like NZ every couple of months. Some airlines regard safety video expenditure as part of their marketing budget and will invest accordingly.

In saying that though, the current safety video is not very in-line with KE's current 'go korean' brand campaign.

Yes because general Kim Jong Un is not shown in the video.

If there were any safety concerns with taking delivery of a new aircraft the procedures the in the video, it would have changed. Safety is not only any airlines priority, it would be highly regulated within any nation, including Korea.

Cleary KE has its eye set on bigger fish in the pan than a safety video update. All these fancy-shmancy ones from Air NZ or Turkish are old hat, man!

As neat as the advertising type ones can be, it's still a safety video that covers the same basic stuff. Some tweaks to account for more mobile devices could be included but if it still covers the same content *shrugs* It's still perfectly fit for purpose.

And as mentioned earlier. For companies like Air NZ the flashy vids are often done out of the marketing budget. Because they're viewed as primarily safety, but part advertising too.
