Emirates- Post A380

Tue Jun 04, 2019 8:35 pm

STC gave an interview the other day that they hope to have phased out the A380 by the mid 2030’s.

Now, granted, this is a long way off, but what would Emirates’ plans be for keeping capacity high, which they currently offer with the A380.

For example, Emirates currently offer 6 DXB-LHR flights per day, all on the A380. Without it, how are they going to keep the capacity high? Would it be a case of launching maybe a 7th or 8th 777X/A350 flight? Perhaps densifying the 777X to an extreme capacity? I understand there are many factors, Heathrow expansion etc, Etihad/Emirates merger, who knows.

But, without the A380 in their fleet, how will Emirates keep capacity and seat count high, without the A380.

777X/A350/A330neo and/or 787 and whatever comes next.

Probably be an A350neo/787MAX by the time this rolls round, and airbus and boeing can roll the fleets over all over again.
