I think the 78J is the best looking member of the Dreamliner family.

The KLM livery looks great from what we can see :)

Nice, I wonder which routes she will be gracing with her presence, especially here in the US. My guess would be Chicago, NYC, and LAX.

Houston was announced about a year ago. Should be one of the first routes to use Boeing 787-10 equipment.

- AMS 10:35 - JRO 19:55 B787-10

This will be followed by AMS-DXB, after delivery of #2.

Is this with the new C-class seats by JAMCO (or something like that?).

I would say something similar to the B77E (C34W40Y242)

38 Business, 27 economy comfort, 279 economy. Quite a bit more than KL's 77E (34/40/242). Even though on the 787-10 KL can only use 34 of the 38 business seats as the unions demand an extra FA for 38 business class seats.

The 100 Years Logo is very similar to that of British Airways and strikes me as quite unimaginative - especially when compared to KLM's own PH-BVA, which sports the fantastic orange/blue color scheme.

Will we perhaps see some retrojets in the next few months? I expected more for such an important anniversary.

So KLM will install 4 more C seats that they will not use :scratchchin:

Dummy question....why not having 34J and more Y+/Y seats instead of wasting the space of 4 J seats???

Something different, their Airbus A-330-300s are PH-AK* and now the 787-10s are PH-BK*. I am sure it's a matter of time that there WILL be mistakes when dispatchers think they prepare the PH-AKA to say Lagos while they are actually working on the PH-BKA to Houston as they often look at the last two letters only and not all can recognize aircraft well. So I wonder why KLM didn't choose another letter, say PH-BE* or PH-BR*.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

It's not bad, but quite boring IMHO.
Even BA that pretends to be 100 years old is painting 4 aircraft and flying domestic flights with it (for 1 day).
KLM *really is* 100 years old and they have a sticker on a plane...

I would have loved to see KLM paint one of the last 747-400 that got heavy maintenance in their 747-classic livery to both celebrate 50 years of flying the 747
(not something many airlines can say and KLM can in early 2021 when they still have some 747-400's flying) ánd 100 years KLM.
Sort of what they did with the 737 retro-jet celebrating 95 years of KLM.

I don't know, but it could be just a simple mistake, an oversight. The 787-10 has quite some room between doors 1 and 2, and KL decided to make at an all business class section. Not sure if removing 1 row of C could fit 2 rows Y(+) instead, it may have been impractical. And perhaps they thought the problem with the unions could be worked out in time. We'll see.

The plane is also already at 344 seats. Bumping that up above 350 seats with more Y seats may also require an additional FA (I don’t know how KL staffs their planes and their union agreements in terms of number FAs versus minimums).

Looks good. We will probably see a few other types with the 100 markings as done when they turned 95. I'm still waiting for the retro jet or a least keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice but nothing particularly special, would have been nice to see something more than just a sticker for this milestone anniversary.

The KLM livery is stunning on pretty much anything though so can't fault them on that!

The engines are in line with the belly and is white. Making them blue would I my opinion overkill on the blue.

Any chance the 787-10 will replace the 773 on AMS-SIN(-DPS) at some point? Flying this every other month, tired of the 3-4-3 layout.
