JKT = Kemayoran, one of Jakarta's two airports alongside Halim Perdana (HLP). International flights were moved from JKT to HLP in 1975, while JKT itself was shut down and demolished in 1985. Domestic flights were moved to the new Sukarno-Hatta (CGK) on March 31st. But then HLP became overcrowded, so it was decided to consolidate domestic and international flights into CGK. Terminal 2 opened on May 11, 1991 and HLP's international routes were moved to CGK. HLP was converted into a general aviation/military airfield.
