Looking at this picture on the home page I was struck by how much better it looked
than the initial repainted 737
Then I realized why it looks so much better
No BILL BOARD titles
Just a nice, understated ‘United’ above the windows, this is a massive improvement.
Billboards are always ugly but are particularly bad on this revamp, they trash
any possibility of a fresh, new look
Still not enthusiastic about the ‘washed out’ white paint and lack of contrast with the grey on the belly but this should be the template for future repaints

I agree Max & Adambrau, this is much more appealing than large billboard titles, Is that the same font used on the 737-800 that was revealed a month or so ago? I can't remember the font. But this looks nicer than I thought it would look from my first impression.

I agree the livery looks better on the E175 than the 738.
If you want to remain elegant with billboard titles, you only want a tail logo and a monochomatic fuselage like LX, AA or AY.
But billboard titles+painted engine nacelles+cheatline+tail logo is wayyy too heavy, look at Frontier or Ryanair.
So on UA mainline, they should either go for smaller titles above the windows, or paint the engines gray like the belly.

You can barely read it at a distance. Make the logo bigger.

This is sort of what you have now with United’s 787s, except the sweepline goes farther up on the Dreamliner, eliminating too much blank space between the titles and bottom.
