New VC-25 livery

Fri Jun 14, 2019 12:02 am

Kinda digging it. Never really liked the funky blue color scheme.

It is a pathetic attempt. The current livery is a classic created by a master designer. There is nothing original about it.

If it's like a US Airways dark blue on the bottom, I think it would look really sharp. Needs some color on the tail like the current one, though.

Looking good! Current one is very very dated.

Looks alot like the Japanese Air Force One imo. Not a bad look for sure, but similar enough to get confused (minus the flag of course).

Kind of looks like the last TWA livery to me.

Looks very 80s, and not in a good way. Should rather stay as it is in my view.

The Blue livery is iconic and classy, a white fuselage with Navy or Black type saying " United States of America" with a flag on the tail in a white background looks like an Air Force Plane. Reminds me the 707 livery before it was Blue, it could be confused for a KC-135 tanker. Do you want AF1 to say military plane or Presidential Plane ? AF1 should be painted with a livery indicative of the mission it has, not one that hides in white.

It is almost identical to the 1990s final TWA scheme, without the navy upswing on the tail. It remains one of my favorite schemes, and I think the look will wear well on the VC-25/747 hull.

That's Trumps era is it not? Almost makes me think he did design them himself

The current scheme does look very nice, but the colors don’t say “United States”. The blue is nice, but doesn’t reflect the blue of our flag. The proposed scheme is red, white and blue, the colors of our flag. It makes sense. And the scheme isn’t gaudy looking.

It's Trump Shuttle with a blue belly. Get rid of the blue and throw a T on the tail and it's Trump Shuttle on a 747.

Please don't let this be the start of every consecutive President painting the plane to their own tastes.

I think this thread should be in the Military Aviation & Space Flight forum since VC-25 is a military aircraft.

Im not digging it. The current scheme is AF1 even by association. Honestly the one he proposes kinda looks like Air Koryo with a grey belly.
When wasn't America great?

I think this would be for the next gen 747 8 variant , but yes that would be messy
