It has been extensively discussed in another thread.
Air Malta hopes to induct more than a dozen Airbus A320-family neos over the next five years, chief executive Clifford Chetcuti has revealed, with the yet-to-be-developed A321XLR among the airline’s targets.
My guess is that Malta Air (Ryanair venture in which the Maltese government has shares) will be picking up short haul flights.
Air Malta (which already operates an all Airbus fleet) will be picking up the mid/long haul flights with the addition of XLRs.
