It will be announced the biggest sale of all Embraer history: 80% of it commercial division to Boeing! Well done Embraer and Brazil! A superb way to celebrate your 50th anniversary!

Just kidding ... back to topic:

Good news for Boeing Brazil! Hope it is a E2 sale and not another 175E1 huge sale. The E2 family needs some orders urgently! Well done Boeing!

What I have till now seen on Twitter e.g.

Embraer/Boeing Brazil is there with an E195E2 in nice livery (Profit Hunter)
https://twitter.com/JetPhotos/status/1138859004719968259
Mitsubishi/SpaceJet with a MRJ90 (seems now be called MJ90)
https://twitter.com/jonostrower/status/1140197988322562049

Bobardier shall be there with a CRJ.

And we are doomed. LEGO is there with an T-65X.

I was gonna say this could be the Spirit order.. but if I recall correctly didn’t they rule out the E2?

That was the news:
https://www.flightglobal.com/news/artic ... gn-458671/

On the E2 decision, he says today: "We think the Embraer product is very good. But, for now, we had to tailor ourselves down to just where we are in a Boeing/Airbus world."

So this is another order. Who? I wasn't expecting IAG or AF/KLM this early, those would be the largest campaigns I'm aware of.
I look forward to finding out who this customer is.

Doesn't have to be E2-order. Could also be the long awaited order for the KC-390 by Portugal.

And again only E175 (still nice, especially as these are 39 in total), and no E2.

I had hopes for an E2 order. Embraer needed any order day1, but any E2 order would have been better.

They definitely could have used an E2 order. Not to sound negative, but an E175 order from a US major is barely news at this point. Let's hope they get some E2 orders before the end of the show

A small but worthwhile bit of business for RR.

https://www.rolls-royce.com/media/press ... craft.aspx

Six of the A330s will be leased but the other eight are new orders.

United is maxed out in 175s at the moment. Not sure how these will work with scope. Maybe there’s another order coming that will unlock the additional 175s.

Yes true, and as a Canadian and Quebecer it is with mixed feelings that the C-series became the A220 for a song... but still, it is an Airbus now.

They’re 70 seat 175SC, presumably replacing 20 CRJ700 which will be converted to CRJ550.

IndiGo has chosen CFM LEAP 1A to power the remaining 280 aircraft of the neo family. The order was confirmed at the PAS today. The first 150 aircraft are powered by the PW GTF engines.

Split engine OEM to keep them competeting. I’m guessing any extra orders will be negotiated with both providers, best deal wins.

I was a bit surprised that they could suddenly change the engine OEM so looked up the order book. They have received 87 neo frames so far, which means the next 63 frames would have PW engines. After that, the next 280 would be CFM.

Or it could be looked at as a kick in the scrote to PW. If the GTF was performing well, why switch? At lease throw PW a bone, but to give the whole pie to CFM? Ouchie.

IndiGo has faced a lot of issues with the GTF engines. The fleet was grounded briefly last year and even now IndiGo can't deploy their neos for ETOPS flights. The switch to LEAP was bound to happen.

IndiGo's switch is probably due to dissatisfaction with how PW handled the GTF issues. Its CEO fleet is largely IAE powered and they continued with PW when switching to the Neo. So this is a major win for CFMI.

Yes, extremely painful for Pratt. While Untied Tech is literally pissing away 3 billions of dollars on a useless split, they lose their biggest customer.

Leasing Nordic Aviation Capital seems to have ordered some ATR turboprops + options? 35 order and + 35 options? so seems to be a real big order? By bad luck it is not in English. Who can translate it?

OK, we do not need any translation any more: 105 ATR are not bad. This is a real big order/options e.g. now.

Yes the word WOW is correct...so...

WOW, OK only two but an AIRLINE has ordered the FIRST TWO ELECTRIC PLANES!
So either we will remember this day as gamechanger....or one of the next big failures as electric planes are just...rubbish and no gamechanger.

WOW, OK only two but an AIRLINE has ordered the FIRST TWO ELECTRIC PLANES!
So either we will remember this day as gamechanger....or one of the next big failures as electric planes are just...rubbish and no gamechanger.

For short-haul, small capacity, electric propulsion is going to be a game changer. Remember how Harbour Air also announced recently their intention to convert their entire fleet to electric.

This is amazing news. Cape Air = exciting!

De Havilland Canada reveals Bombardier's last-ever 'undisclosed' Dash 8 order was for TAAG Angola: https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/d ... 46552.html

PARIS, June 18, 2019 /CNW/ - De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited ("De Havilland Canada") announced today that TAAG Angola Airlines E.P. has purchased six Dash 8-400 aircraft. TAAG is the state-owned, national airline of Angola. This order was announced by Bombardier Commercial Aircraft on March 29, 2019 as an order from an unidentified customer.

They also announced the first DH4 delivery under (new) De Havilland ownership: https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/d ... 50001.html

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited ("De Havilland Canada") announced today the delivery of its first Dash 8-400 aircraft following the completion of the transition of the Dash 8/Q Series aircraft program from Bombardier Inc. to De Havilland Canada on June 1, 2019. The aircraft was delivered to Qazaq Air JSC ("Qazaq Air") of Kazakhstan and will become the fifth Dash 8-400 turboprop in the airline's fleet.

Interesting how branding for the DH4 is reverting back to Dash 8-400 with the Q400 name being phased-out it appears.

Yes the word WOW is correct...so...

WOW, OK only two but an AIRLINE has ordered the FIRST TWO ELECTRIC PLANES!

Looked like from the article Cape was ordering "double digit" numbers. Be nice if they defined that a bit better :P

Having said all that I think a small commuter Electric airplane will definitely be a game changer, whether this is the one or not, I don't know, sure hope so though... If they can actually keep to schedule which I know is quite an IF they might even beat the P2012 at this rate :P

Is this the first E2 order or did I miss another?

Good to hear we finally have a European launch customer. Is Winderoe expanding? I expected a top off order by now. (Of only one or two E2, but hey, they are the first operator).

Sadly looks like it,

So far for Embraer
2 E195E2 Binter Canarias
2 E175 Fuji Dream Airlines
20 E175SC United Airlines

Unlike last year where they treaded water, unless Embraer picks something up big between now and the end of the show feels like they're going backwards.
