Ethiopian A350 operates PRG-HER-PRG

Sun Jun 16, 2019 7:51 am

Ethiopian Airlines A350-900 (ET-AUC) operates Smartwings flights QS1104/1105, PRG-HER-PRG (16/06/2019).

Smartwings has been suffering from the aircraft shortage caused by the fact the airline had been forced to ground the entire B737MAX fleet.

The plane is currently on its way from FRA, landing in Prague at 10:20. Later, it is going to to be deployed o. PRG-HER/HER-PRG routing operated in the following time frame; 12:00-15:50/(???)-19:10. After an unusual rotation, the plane will leave PRG for FRA at 20:10, in order to operate its regular scheduled flight ET707 from FRA to ADD.

It will be the first visit of Airbus A350 at PRG and HER.

Not entirely true, yes they are suffering from B737MAX grounding - but more from leasing in very sdubious airlines/aircrafts to replace them. Like YAN AIR which just recently lost its AOC or STAR EAST which were unable to operate their YR-SEA after the first flight...

ETHIOPIAN seems to become a major player in the European skies - didn't they recently charter flights for the football finals between the UK and Madrid on A350's as well?!

Yes they did, however I guess that speaks volumes also to their aircraft utilisation and efficiency, that they have spare frames sitting around waiting for work? I like ET but worry they are trying to be the next EK without the right business plan to back it up.
