Houston is an aerospace city. São José dos Campos is an aerospace city (Embraer). Someone on this board noticed a filing to fly IAH-SDU. Maybe this is the announcement of that service.

This makes a lot of sense, particularly with the Paris air show still going on and the recent news about Mitsubishi rejiggering the aircraft to better align to U.S. scope restrictions.

The SpaceJet has 76 seats, which is the maximum seat count UA can have on its RJs. Is this number specific to UA's scope clause or shared among all the US legacies?

Pretty sure the US3 all have similarish scope clauses. The 76-seater one is the same across the board, minus Horizon. Idk about the weight, but ik that the E175-E2 can simply not be readjusted to compete, as it is nearly 17000lbs over the maximum figure I've seen around, 86000lbs, and the MRJ70 had the same problem, but was closer to the limit, hence the redesign.

It does if they wanna play it safe. This is Mitsubishi's first programme, and it has been plagued by delays, and now one of the jets has been completely redesigned. If they're satisfied with it they'll probably be placing topup upon topup like they're doing with the 175s atm. Embraer can't keep making the ''E1'' forever, and currently there is no other plane that can compete in the US market. But considering the nature of the MRJ/Spacejet programme, it makes sense they'd start off slow.

That is, if AA will resume their ORD-PEK/PVG route by 28th, which is super unlikely. If they want, they can replace their request for EWR-PVG to this, but that’s not likely right now.

All you had to do was look at the United tweet to see that Visit Houston was circling all over it and playing in the game - go to the Visit Houston twitter page and see the posts all over their page for the anniversary of the moon landing.

Somehow this turns into United is announcing a new terminal to fly to 50 new destinations with their 50 new Mitsubishi jets. On a Friday. And not a peep out of the airport, Mitsubishi, or anything else of the sort.

I think it would be more of a concrete light ghost gray for classic, but would be nice with white base UA with pearlescent transparent lacquers like the Retrofit and aztec patterns and should be USS something, not the Airline... how about USS Polaris
