What happened to Taos Air?

Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:41 pm

According to Taos Air's website, all flights are suspended for the summer - but will be returning for the Winter ski season. I can't help but feel somewhat of a deja vu when we've seen similar things happen with Via Air and CPAir over the past few months. My question is though, where did their Dornier 328 go, and can it be found at another airline? There seems to be very little information on this airline. They served two routes from Taos, AUS and DAL, but I never saw anything advertised here in Austin about it.

There were definitely ads around Austin near/at the airport. It was planned seasonal service. I heard it was a Denver Air Connection a/c, but I don’t know the accuracy.

They are the only ones that have that type of jet so I’d say it’s likely.

The airplane was an Ultimate Air Shuttle airplane, and went back to doing UE flights at the beginning of April.

Unlike the examples, Taos Air was just a marketing name, not an actual airline. Just like Morris Air at the beginning.
Also, Taos was fronting the $$ so it didn't really matter if anyone or no one flew it.
