Air Canada 33 Diverted to HNL Due to Turbulence

Sorry if this was already posted, but an Air Canada 777 was diverted to HNL after encountering unexpected turbulence just past the Hawaiian islands.

An Air Canada flight was diverted to the Daniel K Inouye International Airport after reported severe turbulence.

Air Canada flight 33 landed at 6:45 a.m. Airport staff and emergency responders were on standby and ready to assist

Multiple passengers have been reported injured and are currently being taken to local hospitals.

If you watch the video you will hear the lady describe the injuries and the triage for the pax, then when she is done speaking the first thing out of the idiot reporter's mouth is did you see any blood? Broken bones ( she just said she did ) but I guess he was hoping for traumatic amputations, dead bodies laying over the seat backs and a cabin that looks like a set from the prom scene in Carrie. Got to love the media

Going by the reports, with the exception of standing crew, the injuries occurred when pax were thrown from their seats onto the ceiling and hit their heads. It's a good reminder that you should put your seat belt on, even if things seem to be going smooth. Head injuries can be pretty serious, but hopefully everyone will be fine.
