LAR uses UA? They went on AA for the SB53. Or is that a one off flight?

Doubt it, that never happens that I know of except during the Super Bowl.

SJC just being close to the stadium and the hotel would be my guess.

I thought NFL teams regularly swap facility use of other NFL teams (in multiple team markets) or local colleges?

Colleges absolutely, other NFL teams? Don't think I've ever seen it in the regular season.

Definitely doesn’t happen during the regular season, and even during the Super Bowl, it doesn’t happen all that often and seems to be something the NFL tries to avoid if they can help it. The last Super BoWl where both teams used another NFL team’s facility before the game was Super Bowl 48 in NYC, where the Broncos used the Jets facility and the Seahawks used the Giants facility. In the 5 Super Bowls since then:
Super Bowl 49 (Phoenix):
-The Patriots used the Cardinals facility, while the Seahawks used the Arizona State facility

Super Bowl 50 (Bay Area):
-The Broncos used Stanford’s facility, while the Panthers used San Jose State’s facility.

Super Bowl 51 (Houston):
-The Patriots used the University of Houston’s facility, while the Falcons used Rice University’s facility

Super Bowl 52 (Minneapolis):
-The Patriots used the Vikings facility, while the Eagles used the University of Minnesota’s facility.

Super Bowl 53 (Atlanta):
-The Rams used the Falcons facility, while the Patriots used Georgia Tech’s facility.

It’s just not really necessary during the regular season, since in all but a select few cases (such as teams traveling cross country, and thus choosing to go a day or so earlier than normal, or teams playing on the road on consecutive weeks far away and thus choosing to stay on the road rather than going all the way home just to leave again a few days later for another long trip, like the 49ers are doing this week), the teams arrive in the during the late afternoon or evening of the day before the game, play the game the next day, and then leave town more or less immediately after the game is over.

Beyond the staggering amount of equipment, I believe there is a clause in the CBA that flights over a certain length get widebody aircraft.

No there isn't. The NFL CBA has no such provision.

That might have been either a flight for Rams' employees or a fan charter; I'm guessing the latter, since I seem to recall at least two other UA charter flights between LAX-ATL related to SB53.
2019: DAL, MCI, PHX, LAS, DFW, SAT, ORD, SLC, SEA, DTW, PHL, MIA, LAX; B73G (WN x3), B738 (WN, AA, DL), A20N (NK), MD83 (AA), B788 (AA x2), CS1 (DL), B739 (DL), B712 (DL), B752 (AA), B763 (AA), B77W (AA), B789 (AA)

That's fine, then this season they might make a change.

The Saints did. They won the Super Bowl in 2009 and had been on Delta for years, the next year they were on Continental. Many thought it was bad karma to change but maybe Delta let them go.

looks like the Dallas Cowboys touched down at Washington Dulles Airport earlier today. Not too often we see an AA772 from DFW - IAD. Also had a weird flight number: 9458

Saw this today flying into MCI:

Was this NFL related? Chiefs are playing at Oakland tomorrow so I doubt it.

Must be the ferry flight for team charter. Saw a B764 departing for SJC at 1:35pm local under flight number 2543. This same flight number and aircraft type also flew MCI-JAX-MCI last weekend and Chiefs played @ Jaguars.

Eagles upgraded to a A332 for the Thursday night game in GRB. Visiting teams to the Packers fly into ATW because the preferred hotel is there. Will fly out of GRB tonight.

https://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAL ... /KPHL/KATW

Also, saw this Sun Country flight from this morning...would this be a fan charter or something? I know a lot of colleges use SCX for their charters but I didn't find a matching game.

Raiders headed to London after playing the Colts:

Can't find any info on their opponent, Chicago. They had a home game Sunday and I can't find news on when they plan to cross the pond.

So since they left early the Raiders will be the home team in London. The visiting Bears will arrive much later in the week, maybe Friday or Saturday.

No there isn't. The NFL CBA has no such provision.

Correct, the provision is 1.5 seats per player on shorter trips, 2 seats per player on longer trips, although I am not sure at what distance the requirement changes.
