This is not a typical diversion. This is the first time a DL 757 has been to PWM since 1996. PWM is only 90 miles from BOS. Most diversions would return, or go to BGR. I've never seen a scheduled transatlantic diversion come to PWM!

It's been a tough weekend for Delta. Cancelled this flight Thursday, diverted today, diverted an Airbus in Caribbean due to in-flight engine failure yesterday, and smashed a 757 into a runway so hard today it bent the plane. They need to get things under control.
