Just saw this on FlightRadar24. Hawaiian 742 SEA-LAX. Anyone know what's going here? Thanks!

Might be wishing they hadn't committed that airframe to a charter this weekend....although I think the contract requires a twin-aisle.

HAL has been flying the Seahawks around for years, I think they know what they're doing when it comes to planning for this. And yes, it's always been a 767 or A330 as far as I know.

Because that is all HA flew at the point they started flying them around decades ago. I expect that the Seahawks, Coaches, Trainers & other staff & VIP's take up a good many seats, the WB gives everyone a place to spread out. When the Blazers flew on Paul Allens 757, they had their own seats, scented & marked from the rookies. It was because some seats were better location than others. Rich People Problems. LOL!

There was a rather short period of time HA operated a 5:15am departure from LAX to PDX that took passengers, I am sure not many as it went away fast. It was for aircraft routing, but still cool. DC-10 on Fri only.

Am I the only one that saw the title and thought, "there are still 742's flying around?"

No, since HA never operated a B742.

Why? The entire schedule flew today...why wouldn't they commit to the charter?
