Danish Air Transport MXP CPH

Sun Sep 08, 2019 8:11 pm

Right now there is flight DX3072 operated by MD-83 OY-RUE of Danish Air Transport flying from Milano Malpensa to Copenhagen. Milan is not listed on DAT website as a destination, anyone knows what is this flight for? A charter, subbing for SAS or what else?? Thanks

I just flew D83540 Norwegian air operated by DOT LT ( DAT Lithuania ) from CPH to AMS . All crew onboard were from Lithuania and there was 1 F/A from Norwegian as an interpreter in case someone would not speak English but only one of Scandinavian Languages . Spoke to flight attendant . She said that they were chartered many times by Norwegian , SAS , Vueling , Jet2 . Now they are flying 3 weeks out of CPH for Norwegian then probably will go to another base .....

If for Norwegian, it would be due to the MAX grounding. Norwegian has used them many times.

The DAT jet fleet is exclusively for charter and ACMI work. All scheduled flights are operated by ATRs.

Possibly a charter to do with the Formula 1? There was a race in Milan today

It was a charter. There was also a BGY-KRP on an ATR 72-600 (OY-RUN) tonight. It's due to the F1 race at Monza this weekend.
DX3XXX is always a private charter.
Finally had it been a sub for SAS or others it would have been using that specific airline's own flightnumber not their own ;)
Types flown: A319, A320, A32N, A321, A332, A333, A343, AT43, AT75, AT76, B717, B732, B735, B736, B737, B738, B752, B753, CRJ9, DC10, DH4D, DHC3, E135, E145, E175, E190, E195, F100, MD11, MD81, MD82, MD87, RJ1H
