Effect of airstrike in Saudi on civil aviation

Thu Sep 19, 2019 9:22 pm

Surprised to see that no aircraft are diverting around Saudi Arabia given the airstrike there. I would have assumed it to be the case as airlines and missiles don’t mix and the airspace between Iran and Saudi Arabia appears to be quite hostile at the moment. Are airlines taking any precautions or is it business as usual in the Gulf?

Iran has not claimed responsibility for it.... not a fact they did either.

Sorry, I know facts are not important these days.

The topic is the impact of a strike (in Saudi) on civil aviation. Continued posting of flamebait conspiracy theories will draw moderator attention. Keep the discussion civil and on topic.

Late edit:. I changed the title to keep the thread on topic.

Does the question "Cui bono?" already qualify as flamebait conspiracy theory?

All related parties in this conflict will be 100% sure not to affect any civilians on air with their attacks (in this case drones) the coalition that is fighting in Yemen closed the airspace there couple of years ago and no aircraft go near that zone. The tension in the gulf looks like it is escalating, in my personal view I think the corridor over the gulf water will not be part of the conflict, otherwise it would be WWlll.
Let’s all hope & pray all conflicts ends in the world and people enjoy flying from anywhere to anywhere happy safe and enjoyable.
