How are they going to add new routes with only 22 gates? They are pretty close to full capacity right now.

At present, there isn't an air side connection between B and C. Massport is starting a project to do this. It's going to be a nice project that will add another gate and overhaul and expand the gate areas.

Still have yet to hear anything about Bastian being in Boston though.

Thats not what the article infers. It simply says that the governor will be at Logan to help celebrate Delta Air Lines. Then another sentence, further down in the same paragraph, mentions that the Boston Mayor will be at North Square to attend a ribbon cutting. Here is the direct quote;

I know, like I said, I mentioned that I heard about a "ribbon-cutting" on the radio and that this was the only online source that I could find relating to the subject. I did mean to type celebrates instead of celebrated. Though it does sound like they'll just be showing off the new gates, should find out for sure soon though.

Airlines almost always put out press releases for new long haul flights before they load them for sale. Thus, the OAG thread often doesn't show new long haul adds until the Sunday after they have been announced. That makes sense.

I agree with you on the FCO flight; especially if Alitalia will still fly the route and will have some sort of a relationship with Delta. Alitalia alternated between 332 and 333 ex-BOS this summer.

The 5:00 departure on a 333 is interesting too - if it departs from Terminal A, that will be....interesting.

Yes they did, I remember that. They had a BOS-LHR-BRU flight on a 767. That was flight AA 108. That didn't last long, not even a year. I flew JFK-LHR on a 777 connecting on that 767 to BRU. And the return trip to JFK: same itinerary. BRU-LHR on a 767 connecting on a 777 to JFK.
Three years ago they had a BOS-CDG flight on a 757.

But yeah kind of what I thought it was going to be. It is actually big that they got the terminal back so there is that. I think Delta and JetBlue better get use to each other there. Neither is going away.

Now over on airlinepilotcentral. The Delta pilots are saying they will get a chinch on the new international E gates, any idea if that’s true?

I don't think anyone even hinted at BOM. Although it has a lot of demand it needs a 777 or A350 and Delta doesn't rotate either of those thru BOS.
BOS will be a 767/A330 station for the foreseeable future IMO.

I think the lack of AZ flights on delta.com is because of AZ’s potential exit from the joint venture. In DL’s press release you’ll notice they mention AF/KL/VS but not AZ...
