I can see AUS becoming bigger and bigger for NK with time.

AUS is a big Southwest station but NK has shown it can find space in a market. With WN exiting EWR entirely AUS-EWR should be an obvious add.

Congrats AUS! Spirit hit the ground running and obviously found struck gold with an untapped market. CUN will be interesting in the summer months alongside UA and WN.

Good for Spirit! JetBlue hasn't been able to do anything in AUS in many years!

This is pretty impressive stuff from nk. I do wonder what wn is going to do about nk just poking them constantly here. Nk seems to be going out of their way to move into large wn stations.

Has B6 tried anything outside of their focus cities? NK is offering service to major cities that already have demand and undercutting the incumbent carriers with lower prices due to lower structure. Undoubtedly NK is also generating more demand with their pricing.
Airlines flown: AA, AB, AC, AY, BA, CO, DL, DY, EW, F9, G4, IB, KL, LH, LX, NK, NW, NZ, OS, QF, SN, TP, UA, US, VA, VC, WN, XE

Snarky much.

JetBlue is slow on almost any route adds. Spirit and Frontier are much more willing to try and see what sticks.

I think you can argue both tactics. But what works for one might not work for the other. It will be interesting if JetBlue introduces their basic economy if they will try other things/routes.

Its not that B6 hasn't done anything anywhere, just that they have focused on their focus cities, the above post only proves my point. B6 could have made a splash in Austin, they just choose not to by only flying to their focus cities.

He just has something against B6 because he cannot figure out this high valued LCC model and B6's is NK's primary competitor in FLL. I do admire NK's willingness to try new stuff though. JetBlue can really learn from that.

B6 is a coast airline that is useless for people that don't live or are flying to one of their focus cities. Nothing against B6, but the thread is about what airlines are doing at KAUS, not elsewhere.
