What about G-Is? Is Phoenix Air still flying them from VPC?

I saw a G-II at BWI back in October. The loud and smoky takeoff was truly awesome. Here’s hoping these birds keep flying a lot longer!

Phoenix Air has at least 2 active G-Is. You can track N192PA and N193PA on FlightAware.

Hi KFTG

Not sure if this is of interest.

N748AA was stored at Filton for some time, but not seen since July 2013. Assume that it was scrapped around that time.

Planelogger indicates scrapped November 2013.

One eliminated.

Yesss. Wonderful thread. I approve!

I suggest adding G-1s as well, personally!

Here are a couple you missed that I've caught recently.

Gulfstream II:
N511PK

Gulfstream III:
N218MD (Unsure if that is still the tail number, but it's definitely still flying. Saw it at LAX last month.

G-III N15HE based at Provo, UT operated by Mira Vista Aviation out of Van Nuys is still going strong. Head out to California City, CA if you want to see about 20 GII and GIII types being parted out.

In late 2018, I've seen both a non-hush kitted G-IIB (N4NR; now impounded at ZAG, but not on noise-related charges) and a QTA hush kitted G-III (N196CC) operational in Croatia.

That's interesting. I know there are maybe a couple in South Africa however I don't know if there are any operational in Asia, the Middle East, or Europe./

Yes, it was based there for about 10 years and apparently is still owned by the same entity. Kept in Yelvington Jet Aviation Hangar.

I saw a GIII take off once there. That could be it. It went down to Orlando exec for the day. Is it the only one based at the airport?

There is a story floating around about a GII that has been set on fire after trafficking drugs around in Central America earlier this week.
So one GII less.

N358CY is probably the only airworthy GIII based at DAB. N127GK is also supposed to be there, but withdrawn from use.

You can add N32MJ to the list. Just accepted a photo of it dated NOV 29 2019.

So one GII less.

That's the incident I posted back up in post #25

You did indeed. There have been quite a few similar incidents this year. The GII and HS125 seem to be the courier jet of choice for narco's

There was another incident like this earlier this year but I cannot find the respective thread. Was it a Gulfstream as well? The aircraft had landed on a road in Guatemala or Belize and had broken into two pieces. Can anyone help?

Yeah there was a "zerg rush" a few weeks ago with thhe GII, a king air, a queen air and one more aircraft. I've counted about 3 HS125s destroyed in the past month in these activities. Surprisingly common.

All of these Gulfstreams on the census seem to be US-registered. Are there any flying elsewhere in the world?
