I came across this article and two of the points stood out to me as I haven't seen them elsewhere:

It is not true, in the case this is just a rumour, which I haven't seen anywhere else. Obviously not the most trustworthy source

Why would Denmark go for that plan? Creating a new company among the three countries could put the dominance of CPH at risk. I don't see why they do would do such a thing.

In other news, according to their website, Mahan Air seems to be resuming Tehran-Copenhagen this July, twice a week with the A343. The route was last flown in 2016.

So they must have solved the air marshal issues that - partly - was the reason for the closure of the route previously!

The rest of the "article" is full of nonsense, like Etihad cancelling 18 A350s (they did that over a year ago), Eurowings bankrupt (they aren't) and Emirates cancelling 150 777Xs (they cancelled 35 in November).

Ah yes I see, I think my and the general belief is that Nyköping coughs up more than 10% of the investments, instead of the huge companies who have had the owner shares since it became the low fare airport it is today.

SAS released a financial results for Q2 and interesting remark I found in the presentation for the future network strategy post covid-19:
"Maintain CPH as main long haul hub, right-size selective routes from OSL/ARN with A321LR".

I understand there will be no widebodies in ARN and OSL anymore.

Not necessary, but "right size" is the key word here, and does not only applies to long haul. All will depend on the traffic development and capacity need. SAS doesn't rule out anything right here.

On other news, SAS needs more money and are planning on a stock issue and other means by raising more capital. More details will come in June, but I do expext a stock issue for at least 6 billion SEK, and other refinance method.

They have also announced deferal of 4 A320neo from 2022 to 2024, and is in talks with Airbus for further deferals. And plan to accelerate retirement of older aircraft

The situation is evolving and Sweden will come out from covid later than others. it's completely reasonable that they don't plan anything right now. The traffic will be resumed when demand will return. No one will want to fly empty planes for routes bleeding cash.

Exactly. It all really depends on what the route network will look like. If SAS keep the MIA-routes as is, there'll be WB's af OSL and ARN. If they close the MIA-routes and also CPH-BOS, i wouldn't be Surprised if OSL and ARN went all A321LR

Starting from July 2020 Wizz Air will be expanding its presence in the Nordics by introducing flights from its newest base in LCA:

Copenhagen from 01.07
Billund from 02.07
Turku 12.07

Interestingly enough, Copenhagen will be the only seasonal route of the three. I suppose due to higher costs at CPH.

Seems like airBaltic won't be flying between Riga and Stavanger this summer season. Route was initially planned as 2 weekly.

From 15 June Atlantic Airways will increase FAE-CPH to 1 daily flight from 4 weekly. They will also resume FAE-BLL with 2 weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays) and FAE-KEF with 3 weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).

From the same date, Icelandair will resume KEF-CPH with 1 daily flight.

SAS will operate 1 extra daily flight, this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to high demand on the regular SK531/532 service. SK531/532 has been daily since 15Th of May. Flight reinstated are SK525/526.
SK has not cancelled any flights for next week, a clear indication that they wish to continue even when quarantine in place.

Was that SK531/532 21st or 23rd of May? These were cancelled due to ground operation at LHR, due to the continuation of the route. Usually flights are cancelled with 1-2 weeks advance, but some flights will of course be cancelled later, due to operations. Very exceptional times for any airline right now!

Twice weekly. Thursdays and Sundays from CPH, Mondays and Fridays from ORD.

I’m so happy that they are starting up again :-) I know it may still take some time until we can travel like we use to, but incremental improvement is still welcome :-)

Since Skavsta is the only airport they serve close to Stockholm it will probably be Skavsta for this route as well.

According to ACL documents, Wideroe applied for slots for a Bergen-LCY service. They got awarded slots for 13x weekly. They also applied for slots at Stansted.

They also got 12x weekly BGO-LGW

But LGW and LCY they applisens for up to 4x daily, but no info about other destinations. But it remains to see if they launch the route(s)

Would say it’s highly unlikely that they will launch a new route in W20. It also depends on the timing of the slots. It’s probably not peak timings at LGW/LCY. Would be interesting to see timings and DoW on the slot, which isn’t available on the ACL documents.

What did the E190E2 at WF do last winter?

SAS is planning to raise up to 12,5 billion SEK in new Capital. Looks like the Danish and Swedish government plan to participate with 5 billion SEK each
