RE the LHR slots, depending on timing of those slots, UA could consider what Frontier and Spirit have done which is to pick markets to fly 2 or 3 times per week and share an aircraft.
UA could operate 2 or 3 767s on something to leisure markets like MCO/TPA/FLL/RSW or LAS/PHX, along with midwest non-hub markets (by any Big 3 carrier) like CLE/IND/CMH/PIT/MCI/STL. You'd turn the aircraft in the US city, then swap out markets in LHR. 2 or 3 aircraft could over 4 to 9 similarly stage length markets. Seasonality could push FL in Winter and Midwest in Summer.
They could even operate with the 7 non-Polaris 763s or 764s if Polaris units were hopefully needed to be flown elsewhere. If the revenue covers incremental flying cost and the slots are retained its sure an option.

Actually there was a shot of the northern portion of the airfield at DEN.

Sounds like a pretty big announcement from all hubs!

The alpaca, map of Newark, 4903 ( miles), S America weather map, and 763, lead me to think they might want to start EWR-SCL. I think SCL is the only deep South American station only served through IAH. (Well, ok they cancelled the EZE-EWR route).
All those range calculations, along with the cell phone, 789, and SFO, make me think SFO-BKK.
Seems there could be something for ORD in there too. Nothing for DEN or IAH.

Predictions:
EWR-VIE
IAD-LIM
SFO-GRU
EWR-UIO
ORD-BOG

I feel like if there's new South American adds from IAD/ORD, they'll most likely be to Star Alliance hubs with the exception of IAD-LIM. LATAM flew IAD-LIM up until just a few years ago but lacked the amount of connections IAD has, so I feel like IAD-LIM is safe since there's not a non-stop route between those two at the moment. SFO-GRU seems more likely than LAX-GRU since there's more connection options out of SFO. EWR-VIE is sort of the "overdue TATL route" that will probably be announced alongside the South American adds.

There seems to be an emphasis range. It was referenced at least twice.
Also, quite a few references to Chicago.
The Hawaiian islands stood out in one shot, which kinda makes me think Chicago - Brisbane

That's 9,430 miles which is a bit shorter than EWR-SIN. I don't think United's 787-9s can make the flight.

I’m not sure if there’s anything specific in the teaser about the Philippines, but I’m willing to bet since they’re going hard after VFR traffic now, SFO-MNL could be one! I’d love to see it happen.

The idea that they are going to do something completely out of the box in a pandemic seems ridiculous to me.

Its probably going to be an additional flight to a destination already served. The airline had said they are focusing a lot of attention on Latin America, so maybe some EWR-Latin America flights to places already served from IAH.

Another 77E was ferried today to ROW, N209UA is being moved out of IAD this afternoon.

Looking at UA's fleet of 74 77A/77Es, 43 frames are either in service or still in short term storage at our hubs, and 31 frames are now in long term storage at ROW.

We have seen an increase in 77Es being used on cargo only flights especially since we have no additional 787s available for cargo only flights.

Of the 43 frames (mixture of 77A/77E) in service or short term storage at the hubs I'm going to estimate 20 or so are actually flying every day. With UA swapping aircraft in and out of service to avoid high maintenance cost associate with storage I didn't feel like doing the work to see how many 77A/77Es are actually flying verses how many are on the ground.

With winter approaching I wonder how many additional 77A/77E frames UA is considering moving out of hubs like IAD, ORD, DEN (did not see a single 777 stored at EWR) to ROW?

The return of OGG-EWR would probably have a number of performance penalties. I haven't dealt with the 787 a/c regarding a/c performance, but on the previous CO side, we were always limited in our takeoff performance on OGG-IAH, even after the merger, ORD-OGG-KOA-ORD was due to the penalty departing OGG. Maybe the 789 has a better t/o performance than the 77A and 764 (obviously)

I'm not going to speculate on the route announcement there are a few routes I would love to see but I'll just wait for the official announcement tomorrow.

I will say United has to think outside the box in order to survive. Our normal way of doing business (depending heavily on business travelers/routes) has to change, it is time for UA to balance itself out and look beyond business destinations and business travelers.

If United sees an opportunity to make money by thinking outside our normal box I'm all for it.

If Int'l travel is still restricted and Hawaii actually drops their 14-day quarantine I can see some mega hotel and vacation deals available for mainland residents to visit Hawaii and get their tourist-centric economy kick-started again. UA has the planes and biggest hub cities to fill those needs. The US government should be pushing "buy/support American" and Hawaii keeps travel dollars in the country.

At about :19 there are seven paper airplanes, thus seven new routes.

Next someone is looking up a city on their phone that starts with a 'B'. Sure seems like SFO-BKK is possible.

Maps of Africa are also vividly on display so certainly somewhere on that continent is forthcoming.

DC has a HUGE African community and huge African demand.

DC has a very diverse African community from East, West, and South Africa. NYC's African community is heavily West African.

I think I see SFO-YUL on there.

Another one shows SFO with "GMT" and a 767-300ER. So I'm guessing it's a European city that's GMT+0, which could be: KEF, SNN, MAN, EDI, or LIS. I'd be willing to be it's MAN.

Very surprised to see LAX on here.

I am going to say another Tel Aviv (either LAX, IAH, or DEN). By the end of October, with the exception of SFO remaining sub daily, they will have an almost complete schedule to TLV. With the ORD launch that will come later this week, they seem to be going all in on that market. Now, could they launch SFO-CHC to take on AA's upcoming LAX-CHC in W21?

Chances it’s SIN out of a different port since it’s a lucrative route and they may want to capitalize on th current weakness of USA-SIn travel in terms of airlines still serving this pair so come recovery they have a greater foothold?

They also recently said their SIN office staff is not affected by layoffs suggesting they are still seeing some need to keep SIN?
