LN950, N14011 78J, delivered to UA 30DEC. This is, I believe, the last one of the type for 2019.

Air Premia, Mongolian MIAT,...
Bamboo's 787 operation will be also started in 2020 with a handful number of ntu and ex-Hainan 789 airframes.

Ex-Hainan Boeing 787-9 B-1140 [now re-registered VN-A818] ferried from Haikou to Changi, Singapore just 2 days ago and still sitting there.
Perhaps for pre-delivery preparation for Bamboo Airways???

Biman adding 4 more B789:

The plan to purchase new four Dreamliners came after an Indian airline company failed to make its payment to Boeing company against the aircraft it had earlier ordered for itself.

Against such a background, Boeing proposed that the government purchase these already prepared aircraft.

Though the decision is yet to be finalised, Biman is considering purchasing them if it gets the aircraft at a lucrative price as in the case of its earlier two Dreamliners.

Interesting, this suggests that Vistara will not take the 4 Hainan NTU after all. It's also possible that Vistara will take the 4 NTUs instead of the new production frames that are already scheduled for production later this year.

G-ZBLA is doing B1 on the 9th according to a Boeing employee. The Etihad Greenliner on the 17th. I caught the second Bamboo 787 at CHS today, VN-A818. Will send the links to the picture soon.

All the hip surrounding Vistara pending arrival for B787 was all for nothing.........This means most of the Hainan Group NTU are taken mostly by Biman.

62170 / 874 United Arab Emirates Presidential Flight
62733 / 887 Air Vistara NTU, now going to Biman Bangladesh?
60327 / 891 Biman Bangladesh Airlines
62729 / 893 Air Vistara NTU, now going to Biman Bangladesh?
62730 / 905 Air Vistara NTU, now going to Biman Bangladesh?
60328 / 911 Biman Bangladesh Airlines
62734 / 913 Air Vistara NTU, now going to Biman Bangladesh?
62735 / 924 Bamboo Airways
62736 / 936 Bamboo Airways
62174 / 940 United Arab Emirates Presidential Flight
Source: Twitter, Planespotters.net

Below two were successfully delivered to Hainan Group, now going to Bamboo Airways:
62739 / 746 Delivered to Hainan Airlines as B-1140, now going to Bamboo Airways
62725 / 752 Delivered to Hainan Airlines as B-206R, now going to Bamboo Airways

Bamboo won't take more than 4 HNA-related airframes [746, 752, 924 and 936]. QH will only receive new frames directly from Boeing in 3Q2020, when the direct orders will be started. (924 and 936 are leades from CALC)

As reported a few days ago Vistara may not get the planes due to failure to make payments and instead Biman is interested. It wasn’t exactly clear if they were talking about the HNA NTUs or the new builds that Vistara had on order for later this year though

Those planes are not suppose to built and delivered until next year. Who knows who is going to get the slots.

Just surfing Planespotters.net and realised that AV's only 787-9, the Trent-powered line 851 [reg: N797AV] have been grounded for nearly a year (from Jun 2019).
Finding a new customer?
If AV really wants to sale this frame, it will be hard for them due to their engines option (the scrappy RR Trent 1000)
If you disagree with my statement, assume that it was just a joke :duck:

The engines are interchangeable on the 787, just swap the engine, mount and and software

If that were the case I'm pretty sure LOT would be flying GE now instead of getting old 777s.

As I understand it, it can still be done but it is a much longer and more involved process because the original plan of a "common pylon" that would allow a "quick change" was scrapped.

Considering so many engines are now under OEM maintenance contracts, anyway, it's likely not really worth swapping engines.

Dhaka based Biman Bangladesh Airlines could be looking to buy four 787-9 that were originally intended for Indian full-service carrier Vistara.

Anyone know if Hainan's frames have a crew reat area?

If they have it would explain why Vistara will take the NTU Hainan frames but not it's own production frames.

We don't know.
The only thing I can confirm that there is an airframes named "Quy Nhon City" with the reg VN-A829 flying above Vietnam. Spotted it yesterday in SGN and also wondered that is this the right frame (ex -1140 or -206R).
P/s: any spot of those ex-HNA in SIN? Is B-206R still sitting at Haikou?

Don’t even think Boeing is offering this as an option anymore.

New engines $12 million (or more)
New nacelles $6 million
New pylons $3 million (including fuel system differences)
Software are wiring, $1 million

It can be done, but not cheaply.
