BA may even consider not to accept these four operational leased 777-300ER aircraft from Novus , after a comparison between the amount of penalty payment and the actual lease rate over X years.
In the upcoming years there will probably a reduced demand for long range passenger traffic.

The order, announced during the Farnborough Airshow in 2018, represents Novus’ first direct order with a manufacturer at a list price of $1.4bn. Scheduled for delivery in 2020, the four long-range wide-body twin-engine aircraft will be leased to a leading European carrier once operational.

They may well not, but BA have released their post covid fleet plan. The 4 777’s Coming seemed to be accounted for in this plan.

No 777-300ER deliveries in April and no changes to the unfilled orderbook.

LNs 1652 and 1654 for Aeroflot have both flown but are not delivered.

Unfilled orders at the end of April still stand at 18, according to Boeing figures released today ;

Aeroflot - 3
BOC - 3
KLM - 2
Novus ( for British ? ) - 4
Pakistan - 5
Unidentified - 1

No cancellations or conversions again last month.

VQ-BFO (callsign BOE856) was ferried back from Portland towards Paine Field after paint, see : https://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE ... /KPDX/KPAE

Aircraft data : L/N 1654 C/N 65311 B777-300ER VQ-BFO (N1794B) AEROFLOT (WE856) , named after Russian and Soviet film director "Stanislav Govorukhin".

Next will be : L/N 1655 C/N 66255 B777F N845FD FEDEX (WF243)

It seems that I was correct in stating that Aeroflot 77W VQ-BFO would be in the ‘old livery,’ now the question remains: why?

It was ordered and agreed before the rebrand. It’s not unknown, BA took a Landor B763 and some B752s after the launch of the world tails livery.

The contract signed at the would have stated the delivery colours, you can change that, but you need to pay a cost. I think United were also in a similar boat with the MAX when Evo blue was unveiled and the factory kept flying old scheme new aircraft for a time.

Oh, ok that definitely makes sense. I think that I wasn’t thinking of that since it’s been a while since Aeroflot introduced that livery but the contracts were obviously drawn up long before. Thank you!

This, plus it would mean re-balancing the tail/rudder if they had already been partially painted. All in all, not a huge deal, but inconvenient, and in the post-COVID economy, I don't think any airline is looking to spend anything unless absolutely necessary.

Do the new Aeroflot 77Ws feature the new cabin like the 350 or the previous 402 seat configuration?

Any idea when the CZ 777s will be delivered ?

There are 3 there now; one 77W (B-20E7) and two 77Fs; B-20EM and B-20EN. Especially cargo planes you would think would be very sought after at this time.

Boeing 777s flown: UA, TG, KE, BA, CX, NH, JD, JL, CZ, SQ, EK, NG, CO, AF, SV, KU, DL, AA, MH, OZ, CA, MS, SU, LY, RG, PE, AZ, KL, VN, PK, EY, NZ, AM, BR, AC, DT, UU, OS, AI, 9W, KQ, QR, VA, JJ, ET, TK, PR, BG, T5, CI, MU and LX.. Further to fly.. LH 777

All three could be "held hostage" under the current trade crisis between the US and China.

With the situation as is what's the likelihood of those orders ever end up being delivered?

Pakistan was probably never going to happen, but I expect the rest to be taken (BA have indicated they intend to take their four via Novus). The UFO probably depends on who is actually behind it.

I recall reading in the past that Azerbaijan ordered 2 77L's, so the UFO could be the 2nd one since the first one delivered last year was an UFO order as well.
