Pretty sure blue is now the official "house colors", with Sunrise Red only being used on the 747-8 Intercontinental.

The house livery was from the red/maroon to the blue awhile back. They wanted to standardize the Boeing livery.

Awesome, thank you!

I’ve got one in my signature. Got a few different spreadsheets in that link, but the 2nd one has a 777X production list including the test aircraft.

Nice! I noticed that the weights hanging down the wing that are (I guess) supposed to replicate the weight of engine are 17,000 pounds. Does that mean that’s the weight of the GE9X?

Wiki (!) says, the engine weighs 40.000lbs (18t in useful units) complete with the test pylon

Couldn’t find anything specific. But as the weights on the pic above were a mere 17k while the whole test setup was 40k, I can’t imagine the pylon being the 23k part of it. On the other hand, the 115B weighs around 18k...

All in all, I have no idea but am interested ;-)

The weight also has 787 on it. That mean genx weighs 17k to? Doubt it

The weight only has to be enough to keep the plane from tipping on its tail, it does not necessary have to be the weight of the engine.

Could someone tell me when the 4 th will be tested?

It seems to me that it would be intended to test the cabin?

I can't wait to see the cabin in real life

My notes say that N779XZ will test:
ECS, ETOPS, Noise, General Reliability, Likely will be outfitted with cabin

As for first flight, I’d bet mid to late September.

Hi VCV. Not wishing to pour water on your bonfire flames here as it's clear the 777X flight test program is very exciting for you, but just looking over the past week's worth of posts it's mostly nothing but flightaware alert links. Whilst the notifications of the upcoming first flights are newsworthy, I'm not convinced that posting EVERY mundane flight test link really adds much to the thread, especially not when one could set up an account with flightaware in a couple of mins and have the alerts delivered straight to their mailbox if so interested. Any thoughts on perhaps limiting them to just the first flights, delivery flights and general production progress/issues discussion to keep things in proportion? :)

I seem to remember from following the A350 testing that the tail cone made a couple of appearances later in the test programme.

Ok, sounds good. Originally when it was just the first or second aircraft testing, it wasn’t too much of a big deal (as it was still ‘new’ and people liked tracking every flight), but I get that it gets mundane when you have 3 aircraft flying 2 flights each lol. That FlightAware alert thingy is what I do already, and so that’s how I post them pretty quick most of the time. Think I’ll take your suggestions and stick with first flights/flights that are noteworthy (maybe if it flies somewhere new, such as VCV lol. Or hot weather testing at Dubai whenever that happens (probably next year)). For everyone, I’m generally pretty receptive to these requests so if you have any suggestions on either the spreadsheets and/or posts, feel free to let me know :)

Do keep your spreadsheet current, it may show valuable trends etc later. Back with the 787, the saga turned many a time and it gave clues of developing issues when the flight testing started being paused, as a problem developed (it happened many a time). With the 77x there are very few sources of certification information.

Has anyone got a list of 777X test aircraft regos and production numbers to keep track of? Much appreciated :)

I’ve got one in my signature. Got a few different spreadsheets in that link, but the 2nd one has a 777X production list including the test aircraft.

Super cool spreadsheets, but I noticed just one mistake; LN 1664 is not (longer) allocated to a 777X, it's already confirmed and delivered as a 777F : A7-BFX for Qatar Airways Cargo. Probably when they announced deliveries are delayed, they probably rescheduled some 777Xs to later. I wouldn't be surprised to see mainly 777Fs and a few 300ERs built in the next 15 months and have the 777Xs only continue after LN1685 or so.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Thank you for the correction. The LN numbers have been changing a lot lately and so it's really hard to keep track of them (especially as there isn't a reliable 'source' to go to for them either).

1660 isn't a 777-9, it's a freighter.

N779XY pretty much reached San Francisco for the first time before turning around just now.

oh yes, i saw that, it seems like propulsion performance/payload testing. Hope we can get an insight into the number soon, that would be cool

I feel the same way to be honest.

BTW all 3 flight test planes are currently in the air

I agree that spreadsheets should be kept current if at all possible. Not only does test flight tempo suggest problems or smooth sailing, although Boeing has announced a delay to complete certification, they have not said HOW they will delay things. And at the almost nonexistent rate of press releases, your spreadsheets will be about all we have to confirm or rebut any rumor.

Agreed. They will definitely be kept up to date.

Thank you very much.
It is a very valuable source of information.

It is also nice to see that people are willing to help VCVSpotter when there is missing information or to correct when there is an overlook. I thank them for the contribution.
Unfortunately, I cannot help because I do not have access to any information source.

Emirates allocations are changing so previous data should be taken with a pinch of salt. There's currently 2 frames wearing the same nose wheel door registration at PAE.
