N27519 was the first painted in the new livery... notice the winglets are still the old ... I presume those will be repainted before delivery.... whenever that happens (hopefully this year).

I’d bet on they being test beds for the new software/hardware for recertification.

I'm curious...all these MAX's being flown around incl. touch-and-go's...is that conducted under some special FAA "exemption" or "allowance"? Don't know what better terms to use.

I don't know the specifics, but essentially, yes - Boeing is allowed to conduct limited test flights (B-flights in Boeing parlance as they are under the control of Boeing pilots) as well as re-positioning flights to get them from Renton to long(er)-term storage.

Ok thanks. I figured it had to be under some kind of special authorization.

An Air Canada Max 8 (C-FSKZ) arrived yesterday in YUL. Another C-FSJJ left YUL today to MZJ after spending 2 weeks in the Air Canada hangars.

I saw on twitter a few pictures of the aircraft in storage at KBFI and noticed one of the -8's was in Boeing house livery. Does anyone know which aircraft this is? Is it the third test frame? I was under the impression N8703J was already in Southwest colors.

Is Boeing going to kill the B737 moniker and replace it with the NMA? Ultimately I think that would be the right but very difficult long term decision.
"Mounir’s comments suggest the prime focus may be shifting to settle primarily on the 200 to 240-seat, 4,700 nm.-range category of the new Airbus."

They have more than 3, they are part of the Ryanair order. Ryanair is allocating some of the frames for Buzz.

Currently there are 4 painted at Renton.

While I am not sure what it is, I am pretty sure that is not a C-130.
