Right, but it had to have been allocated to an airline ahead of time. Very rare we would see a lessor frame roll out without an intended customer.

Nope. No lessee assigned. Same for about 20 BOC Aviation frames

Nice pics woody thanks for sharing. Nothing confirmed yet but that white tail is possibly 7899 for Jackson Square Ireland (lessor).

7885 is another possibility as that is a cancelled order too. Any sightings of that one?

Thanks Rob

I saw 7885 in January with Norwegian Rudder & Winglets, but like you said this one could be 7885 as they have had plenty of time to remove the rudder and winglets. My initial thoughts were that it was the Azerbaijan Airlines NTU frame (7899).

That is Canadian charter airline Enerjet. It’s a new livery they are introducing with the Max, which iirc they were planning for their transformation into a scheduled ULCC.

Southwest has said they have agreed with Boeing to take delivery of no more than 48 Max aircraft through the end of next year. Does anyone know how many have already been built?
I work for Southwest, but the views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent those of Southwest.

According to a website, I’m not sure I can mention, 30 are awaiting delivery for Southwest.

Makes sense. I think the FAA will be the first to grant RTS , the other safety agencies will follow in their own time frame,
so Boeing can focus on the US airline deliveries first. :)

If Boeing is already doing rework, then they know something by the FAA that's not public knowledge

The re-work that is on-going is the wiring bundle issue that was discovered and already publicly identified by the FAA.

There is also an engine cowling issue that has to be remedied before RTS:

Albeit, unrelated to the grounding.

That's unfortunate. It is useful to note them as some of them are flying using the hex code derived from it.

Is it the Norwegian or (other) American that is in slot D4 when you were there last? Something using N4006S which is another mystery. :banghead:

AMX XA-IMH flew back from storage yesterday afternoon so that's a fresh frame for your camera (first time in Seattle painted).

Weird that the Corendon plane still wears the MAX-name on its engines

I agree, it is much appreciated.

Even seeing a few planes rolling out here, TLS and elsewhere is much appreciated.

Do we know what the current 737 production rate is?
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world
The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings
The heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own

Do we know what the current 737 production rate is?

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/spirit-s ... 57568.html

“The 737 MAX production rate reduction is the third this year, lowering Spirit's production from 125 units to 72 units for 2020, a reduction of more than 80 percent from its 2019 production rates,” Spirit said in a statement. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic is hurting the overall airline industry, thereby impacting demand for commercial aircraft, the company said.

That is extreme and brutal on the supply chain. It quickly goes off topic on how the built, but as yet undelivered backlog will impact the ability to place newer production frames. I estimate production won't break 50% of the old rate until 2022.

Lightsaber
Flu+Covid19 is bad. Consider a flu vaccine, if not for yourself, to protect someone you care about.

Boeing has only said it is "low" and that the increase to Rate 31 will now be in 2022 instead of 2021 as the initial focus will be to deliver the existing produced backlog of around 450 frames. At least two analysts believe Rate 20 in 2021 and 2022 is more likely due to COVID depressing demand for new aircraft.

Based on Spirit planning to deliver only 72 ship-sets in 2020, that translates into an average of 6 per month.

IIRC Boeing already has a lot of bodies waiting for final assembly, so it would be higher than 6. Could be mis-remembering.
