The 77W's are being used as freighters I assume?
Do they operate out of T-5 or a cargo ramp?

FR24 seems to indicate SkyTeam cargo flights out of the Southeast Cargo ramp. That's where the DL777 has been stationed recently. Pretty sure that's where I saw AF depart. Not sure about those KLM78X's though.

(Spirit and jetBlue are also in the tag game from ORD - see posts 432 & 433 on p.9 of this thread).
Now United is scheduling from O'Hare a number of triangular routings in the Midwest and South.
These are all due to requirements for obtaining funding from the CARES Act which requires at least 5X/week flights to each city, so during this time of light loads it makes sense to combine some station's flights into one-stops.

Yes. Last few days I spent every day around and saw EI operating.

Good to know.

New article from the Trib sheds some light on O'hare 21, and in particular the OGT. I fully understand what a precarious situation the airline industry in in today (not to mention city finances). But it feels to me like its way too soon to be making the type of long-term prognostications about the demise or scope of air travel in 2028 or beyond. This could be nothing more than a memory by then, with little material impact on demand.
I'm old enough to remember the talking heads saying people would never fly again after 9/11... people would never live/work/build a landmark skyscraper again...no one would ever move to Manhattan again.... etc etc.
Airline finances aside, this should continue to move forward IMO. Though I'm fine if needs to be delayed for a year or two...seems like they were way too aggressive on a 2028 timetable anyway.
On a side note: the more I think about the departures hall being elevated above street-level, the more the idea frustrates me. I hope that's one change Gang makes: bring departures back down to curbside level.

They need to continue with the project regardless, traffic will be rebounding by the time construction starts. Plus, it doesn’t change the fact the terminal core is still aging and needs to be replaced.
